The Acnecide Face Wash Spot Treatment with benzoyl peroxide is an expertly formulated wash-off treatment for facial acne, helping to nurture skin in need of attentive care.
Suitable for mild acne, the topical face wash is enriched with the active ingredient 5% benzoyl peroxide, helping to remove up to 95% of bacteria which leads to acne spots.
Infused with glycerine, the ultra-hydrating formula helps to replenish the skin’s natural barrier with moisture while AC microsphere technology helps to cleanse the skin of excess oil.
- Check the warnings and precautions on the label before use.
- This is a medicinal product for adolescents and adults over 12 years of age.
- Benzoyl Peroxide may cause irritation to skin that is not used to using it, but with careful introduction, your skin can become more tolerant.
- For 1st time users: start by applying evenings only and on alternate days. gradually you can increase applications up to a maximum of twice daily.
- Full instructions can be found in the patient information leaflet in the pack.
- If at any time your acne gets worse, please see a doctor or pharmacist for more advice.
- This product may bleach hair and fabrics eg clothes, bed linen and towels. be careful to avoid contact of the gel with these things. Ensure you have washed your hands thoroughly after applying it.
How to use:
1. Wet the area to be treated with water
2. Squeeze out a small amount of the gel onto hands and apply over the affected areas to be treated.
2.b allow the wash gel to sit on the skin for contact time of 1-2 mins and follow with thorough rinsing with water. Gently pat skin dry
3. NOTE: applying more product will not clear acne any quicker, but may lead to skin irritation!
4. You may follow application of the treatment with a moisturiser, which can help to reduce any irritation. Avoid strong sun exposure while treating your spots. a moisturiser with SPF for the day time may be useful.
5. if your skin becomes irritated, you can reduce the frequency of application until your skin recovers. If your skin does not recover, please see a doctor or pharmacists for more advice.

Amazing
Leaves my face feeling SO clean and gives it a healthy glow and definitely completely prevents breakouts (it cleared up my very bad acne that nothing else could). only thing to beware of is with long term use i found it quite drying, but as can many acne treatments ,but if you moisturize it’s nothing to worry about. Apart from that it’s definitely worth buying and super affordable

So good
I’ve been using this on my body for razor bumps and bacne and it’s really helped I saw a huge difference in just a week. I leave it on like a mask for about 10 minutes before washing it off I find it more effective this way. (I wouldn’t do this on my face though)

Good for breakouts
I use this in the shower (leaving on my face as I wash the rest of me) when my skin is breaking out and it seems to help. It's a little harsh to use on my face daily, but if I have spots and I stop using retinol that day, my skin is OK with it.

Love it
I have been really struggling with painful acne on my chin recently and since using this I’ve seen a massive difference in my skin. It’s cleared up massively. Just be careful not to use too much and too often as it is very strong and the first use dried out my skin alot.

Not the best wash
I’ve used these products for years and always go back to them when I end up with bad skin. However this particular wash is not the best would prefer to use the foaming wash.

it works
This definitely works to reduce spots/blackheads. Not the loveliest of textures, but it's not aiming to be that. Just let it sit for 1-2 mins to get the best out of it.

Love it
I use this every other day (mostly) and if I have a break out everyday and it clears it almost instantly. It does say keep away from sensitive areas and I got a bit on my lip and didn’t realise and it’s left like a little blister that hasn’t gone away been a good few weeks so just be careful when applying
