Wonderful product for dry hair
I was driven to post having read the mixed reviews. I have very dry hair. Left to its own resources it doesn't bend. A loose hair down my top feels like a scratchy twig. It's dull and bushy and tangles. This is new since menopause and since the introduction of greys. In the aveda shop I was recommended a much lighter product that did nothing for me, and I was told this was more for afro hair, I'm white. I googled reviewed and decided to buy it. I use the shampoo, conditioner and hair oil from this range and it helps alot. My hair and scalp are never greasy. I actually still have to use quite heavy conditioning masks between washes. If you have actually dry hair then this is a great product.

Not what it used to be!
Oh dear! I don't know why Aveda has chosen to mess about with the formula for this. I used to love it as it did wonders for my dry hair but now it leaves it lank and stringy. I have a yucky residue and my hair looks really greasy. It's a devil to get rid of as well - have gone back to Shampure and it took a good few washes to get my hair looking even semi-normal.

Dry Remedy
This shampoo is perfect for relaxed or afro hair...it leaves your hair feeling amazingly moisturised, soft and silky. I'm now on my 3rd bottle - it's fantastic if you're hair dry and/or brittle. This product should be also be listed under afro hair section - as this type of hair needs a lot of moisturise. This is also the same product my hairdresser uses and it smells lovely!!

Too Hydrating
I used to be a regular user of Aveda's Dry Remedy range, but unfortunately they've recently changed their formulation. When I received this, I noted the new packaging, and the smell of the shampoo being stronger than what it used to be, at first I assumed I got a bad batch. I'd read that this range had been reformulated to be more hydrating. Now I have thick hair, and after the first wash, my hair was left feeling sticky after blow drying. I'd spent a lot on this product and felt I should give it another go, second attempt using less this time, still sticky residue. After going online, I noted a number of people complaining. I usually have positive experiences with Aveda products and before they changed their formula, loved how it made my hair feel. Obviously others may have positive results from this, but I'd avoid if you have fine hair. Conversely, the conditioner works well and I combine it with Shampure shampoo. Such a shame I won't be finishing the bottle :(
