IP6 or Inositol Hexaphosphate, is sometimes known as Phytic Acid, and is regarded as one of the more effective natural products in promoting cellular health throughout the body. IP6 has been shown to aid in the treatment of kidney stones and other related conditions.

IP6 is a natural extract that is found in beans and other foods that are high in fibre such as brown rice and wheat bran. When ingested, it is transformed into a number of related chemicals in the body that are needed by the cells in order to aid in the metabolism of calcium, and to maintain the healthy function of the cells.

It is a highly effective antioxidant, and as such is useful in the protection of cells from the aging effects caused by damage by Free Radical molecules of oxygen.

Inositol is also useful for helping the cells metabolise calcium, and thanks to its high levels of phosphates, when combined with a healthy diet including dairy products, it can help to strengthen bone tissue and offset the effects of bone wasting disorders such as osteoporosis.
