Looks Great BUT...
To whom it may concern, The package/WAHL shaver set came in the time frame specified which was great. I opened the packaging and everything looked in order. In fact, it is a really handsome looking model; solidly build, sleek, nice weight, good balance etc. As such, I was eager to test it out. Then I realized much to my dismay that it was the 'British' style plug (230V ~ 50Hz, 10W) vs. the 'North American' plug (120V ~ 60Hz 12W). Admittedly an un-savy on-line shopper move/mistake. Thankfully, my wife had made a trip to England a while back and had purchased a converter/adapter, so I thought the crisis was averted. When I tried to use it (after removing the guard and oiling), the shaver buzzed/hummed but the blades did not move. I tried different receptacles in my home but same result. This is basically exactly what my old shaver did after 10 years which ultimately precipitated the need to purchase this replacement one. I have since purchased another WAHL shaver. At this point I was contemplating simply forgoing the protracted / cumbersome return proceedings and willing to consider this an expensive mistake and move on BUT what would be involved in returning the item at this point and getting a refund? I am generally a complacent consumer but I have to admit I am somewhat disappointed as this is really a nice set. Hopefully something cane be done to rectify the situation. Please let me know. Thank-you kindly.
