11 beauty sleep tips to wake up glowing and refreshed

Last Updated: 20/11/2024

When it comes to a good slumber, it takes more than just getting into bed if you want to get a true night of beauty sleep.

Following some careful tips can help to improve your skin, hair and emotional state and leave you feeling calmer and more relaxed.

1. Sleep on a silk pillowcase

Silk pillowcases are becoming more and more popular thanks to their incredible skincare benefits. Their fibres are gentle on the skin and hair, creating less friction between you and the pillowcase itself.

They are also being touted as the dream anti-ageing product, as it is believed that they help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles

2. Create a relaxing environment

It's really important to create an environment where you feel comfortable and relaxed, otherwise you may find it hard to drift off easily.

Light a candle half an hour before getting into bed, as this will give it enough time to release its essential oils to help you sleep.  Additionally, add a room & pillow spray into your bedtime routine as this will contain more powerful ingredients such as lavender to send you into slumber.

3. Have a warm bath an hour before bed

Swap your usual habit of watching televsion and checking your phone before bed with a warm bath. It will help to soothe away aches and pains, and leave you feeling mentally and physically relaxed. The warm water is also good at reducing stress and tension.

Try adding in a bath oil which has been specially formulated with sleep-inducing extracts to help soothe stress and keep your skin beautifully soft.
