Suitable for all skin types, the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser Wash is a multi-action formula designed to wash the day away and promote the appearance of a unified complexion.
Infused with a cocktail of skincare hero ingredients, the face wash blends glycerin, niacinamide and panthenol to help create a balanced-looking skin tone. Skin feels hydrated and refreshed as the gentle cleanser defends skin against the five visible signs of skin sensitivity.

- Application: Directions for use with water: For use on face and body. Apply cleanser and gently massage into skin. Rinse. Directions for use without water: Apply a liberal amount of cleanser and gently massage into skin. Remove excess with a soft cloth, leaving a thin transparent film on the skin.

- Glycerin: A humectant that seeks to maintain moisture levels
- Panthenol: A nourishing humectant that works to retain moisture

Great for make up removal
I didn't realise when I first bought this that you could use it with or without water. Such a unique product! I prefer a foaming wash for general cleansing but this is my absolute life saver for removing make-up at the end of the day and touching up eye make-up by putting it straight onto a cotton pad or cotton bud and wiping it off. I no longer buy micellar as this is does the same job at cleansing but is more moisturising.

Strange smell and doesn’t foam
I received this product for free as part of LookFantastic's Beauty Plus scheme. I like a mild cleanser and normally use Clinique's Mild Liquid Facial Soap. I tried the product today (I've had it unopened since I received it two months ago as I was using up my remaining cleanser) and I was disappointed. I have oily skin, I normally use foaming cleanser in the morning and use a micellar water to remove make up in the evening. The first thing I noticed about this cleanser was the smell, it's unperfumed but smells 'old'- it's a hard smell to describe but the smell is not pleasant at all. It's a little like the smell of some of the Aveeno products, kind of an oily smell. I was also disappointed that this is not a foaming cleanser, you can wash it off but it felt like it left a film on my skin and I wasn't keen on it. The packaging says you can leave a layer on your skin however, so maybe this is what is meant to happen. I would imagine that if you have a dry skin and like a creamy-type cleanser, this may be for you. I'm glad I didn't pay for this as I was disappointed and I think it's quite expensive, despite being a large, industrial-looking bottle.
