How to boost your workplace wellbeing
It's coming into the last weeks of the summer season, and with that means a return to work. We know it might not be as exciting as sipping margheritas on a beach in Mexico, but we have gathered some of our best tips and tricks to boosting your workplace wellbeing and keeping positive.
4 tips to improve workplace wellbeing
- Anti-pollution skincare
- Wellbeing SOS
- Get outside
- Keep your friends close
Use anti-blue light skincare
Pollution comes in many forms, but one of the worst forms actually comes from our phone and computer screens.
Blue light is the light emitted from tech devices and can cause premature skin ageing, dullness, blemishes and pigmentation.
Before going into work, use anti-pollution skincare products in your morning routine, such as the Chantecaille Blue Light Protection Hyaluronic Serum. Free from common chemical nasties, the serum helps to intensely hydrate the skin and keep it plumped-up and glowing, whilst also wrapping it in a protective veil against blue light.
Keep a "wellbeing SOS pack" on your desk
Have a little box on your desk packed with your favourite mood-boosting products to help keep you energised.
We recommend a room mist, pulse point treatment, lip balm, deodorant, mouthwash, face mist and your favourite perfume to help give you an energy boost when you need it. The NEOM Organics De-Stress On The Go Collection is a great place to start as it contains a mini hand balm and pulse point treatment to use while you're in the office (then you can take home the other products to relax when you've left the office).
Room-mist wise, opt for a scent that contains uplifting essential oils, otherwise you could feel super sleepy at your desk! One of our favourites is the Aromaworks Lemongrass and Bergamot Room Mist, which helps to revitalise and energise; perfect for that mid-afternoon slump.
Finally, one of our most-loved face mists is a simple one from Avène. Their Thermal Water is perfect for all skin types as it's super gentle, yet feels incredibly cooling upon application. Offices can get quite stuffy no matter the time of year, so this is perfect to always have on your desk.
Take a walk on your lunch break
This isn't anything you haven't already heard, however it's so common for people to not move from their desks during their lunch break.
Having just 15 minutes away from your screen and out in the fresh air will do wonders for your mood for the rest of the day. If it's warm and bright, grab a couple of work friends and sit outside while eating your lunch. If it's raining, head for a coffee, but make sure you take yourself away from your desk either way. Your emotional wellbeing will thank you for it later on.
Have a "work-wife"
Having someone you can go to when you're stressed-out or in need of some advice is so important at work.
Make sure you have a friend who you can always rely on to be there for you when you need them the most. Whether you need some help with a tricky work situation or want to find out how to broach a difficult subject, they can help coach you through.
