Kids Sunscreen
There are two different types of sunscreen – mineral and chemical. Mineral sunscreens are formulated with mineral filters, such as zinc oxide, which deflect UV rays. Chemical sunscreens use chemical filters that are absorbed into the skin and inactivate UV rays once they enter the skin. Chemical sunscreens tend to absorb easier thanks to their lighter consistency. The Ultrasun Very High SPF 50+ Kids Lotion is a mineral option that protects against UVA and UVB rays, and it's waterproof too. Prefer a spray bottle? The Garnier Ambre Solaire Kids' SPF50 Sun Cream sprays directly onto your little one's skin and dries fast.
We've got a few top tips to help keep your kids protected from the sun. Be sure to apply their sunscreen 30 minutes before they go outside, this gives it enough time to soak in and begin working. You should reapply sunscreen every 2 hours for maximum protection, and always reapply after coming out of the pool or sea. For babies under six months sunscreen isn't recommended, instead keep them out of the sun and covered with linen clothing and blankets.
