Good alternative to lip gloss
More hydrating and less sticky than a gloss. The colour is subtle and not as dark as the bottle, which I was afraid of. I use it over lipstick to hold in moisture and give a nice gloss effect.

I’ve been wearing the black honey lipstick since the 90’s and was really keen to give this gloss a try, I didn’t really like it on top of the lipstick but on its own looks great and is really nourishing, I haven’t tried it on my cheeks but I don’t think I’d like the texture on my face. It's ok but not for me
Having used the Black Honey lipstick, I was intrigued to try this. I was surprised to find it doesn't feel sticky as a blush. However I don't find it has much staying power as either a lip oil or blusher. Nice colour but it's not for me.

Beautiful lip gloss but too oily for my cheeks
Love the colour, glides on smoothly and keeps lips shiny. The colour is indeed adaptive as it looks much paler on my lips than in the bottle. Nice as a lip stain/ gloss but definitely not suitable for cheeks so deducted one star.

Having heard the hype I thought this might be a more understated lip look so purchased against my better judgement as generally not a lover of a shiny lip. The black honey shade is ok but it suffers from all the usual issue an oil/gloss does - short lived wear and transfer to everything. Very shiny look. I'm not convinced it offers any more than a tinted gloss does but one big plus is that it is not sticky or tacky.
