I got this in a beauty box and I was very impressed, doesn’t smudge or leave black under eyes at the end of the day like some I’ve tried, would definitely buy again

Ordered wrong mascara

I ordered this as believed it to be waterproof, I did a filter but I should have checked. It's a nice mascara but doesn't hold a curl so passed on to neice.

Utterly devastated.

I always look forward to receiving my various beauty boxes that I subscribe to because as a complete beauty junkie it's where I often find new products. I spend most of my disposable income on different beauty sites, thousands on Look Fantastic alone. I opened my box and was really pleased with everything I'd received, instead of the Sweed mascara being in my box I received a KVD Full Sleeve long + defined tubing mascara. My daughter had her eye on it but because I'd never tried it and wanted to thankfully I gave her an unopened Benefit Roller Lash that I had. I went out for drinks with friends last night and tried out the KVD mascara and was really impressed, 3 coats looked better than false eyelashes. My friends were all very complimentary about it and asked them to message me the name of the mascara today as I couldn't remember the full name of it. I only had 2 drinks and was home before 10 as I had to be up early today. When I got in I started my usual bedtime ritual for taking my makeup off. I soaked 2 pads in Gatineau's refrigerated Floracil and laid on the sofa for 10 minutes with them on my eyes, I always just let them soak as I never rub the skin around my eyes. After that I followed with Liz Earle's cleanse and polish on my face, neck and décolleté. Then I laid on the sofa again with 2 cotton pads soaked with Liz Earle's refrigerated Eyebright for 5 minutes. Usually by that stage there may be a small amount of eye makeup left coming off on the pads but there seemed to be rather a lot. I wear reading glasses so I couldn't see clearly but what I thought at that time was the tubes coming off of the eyelashes were my actual eyelashes. Still blissfully unaware I then used Lancome Genifique eye serum and then the face serum followed by Elemis Pro Collagen marine cream and Lancome eye cream. I then finished off with lip balm and went to put on UK Lash serum that I've been using for years. I had fairly lovely shiny, thick eyelashes but when I looked properly into a magnified mirror most of the lashes on my left eye were gone, I have no lashes left at the outer corner, top and bottom of my left eye, they're just gone. I broke down in tears and haven't stopped crying all day. I should've been at a wedding today and I've paid for a room at a hotel for the night but no matter what I tried I couldn't make myself look normal. My right eyelashes are now very sparse but could be passable but my left eye is a disaster and I'm utterly devastated. Most people reading this will think 'It's just eyelashes, get over it' but I had a car accident 23 years ago and had life changing injuries to my face for which I've undergone many operations and the final one was in January 2021. I felt like a freak for half of my life and now I'm finally as comfortable as I'll ever be with my face this mascara has destroyed my lashes and I'm absolutely gutted. If you have it in your box please don't use it or if you've purchased it individually don't use it. All of the other products I used last night I've been using for years, some of them for 10-15 years so I know it's not them that have caused this. This should be taken off of sale and recalled. I looked horrendous for years after my accident and became a virtual recluse for a few years and whilst this can't in any way be compared to that I feel hideous again. Aren't these things tested properly? Instead of enjoying my friends special day with her that I spent a fortune on I'm wondering how I'm going to leave the house and if my lashes will actually ever grow back properly.

I purchased this mascara along side another tubing formula mascara really nice doesn't smudge or run, stays on all day if you have sensitive or watery eyes this mascara is excellent it does hold a curl also 10 out of 10
