Good for acne!

I’m in my early 30s, so looking for preventative anti-ageing products, but unfortunately still getting hormonal acne around my jawline. I’ve been using this product for about 2 months and have been surprised to see a real improvement in my acne. It feels great to put on and smells lovely. I’m using more as preventative against wrinkles, so hopefully it’s doing the job there as well. My skin definitely feels very soft in the mornings.

So don’t do what I did and use this product 2 nights in a row followed by exfoliator.. it will burn your skin off!! Safe to say this product works, but read about using retinol before using because I didn’t!! I’m going to start using once a week and work my way up..

Pros Gentle retinol product, served as a great introduction for others  Effective - experienced some peeling/purging around the 10 day mark. Skin texture has improved (less impact on tone).  Cons Effects taper off, after some time (and consistent use) unsure if this is due to the product denaturing in the bottle and becoming slightly less effective.

Although this may appear non-budget this is a steal for a retinol product of such value. Within a week (I use every other night, alternating between an acne treatment) I can see a really noticeable difference in skin texture, which is now much smoother, and reduction of pores. I have experienced no dryness or peeling, which can be common with retinol products. I can notice more of a glow and general improvement in my skin. Would definitely recommend use.

Basically all my skincare products come from La Roche Posay but I can safely say this product is my favourite. I have never used retinol before and know it can be harsh on some people's skin but this product makes my skin feel extremely soft the next day and so glowy! I am so happy to have found a product that I know works.
