I have used Lancome mascara for 30 odd years, firstly Definicils, which is great for colour and length, and in the last few years, this one for colour, volume and length. I have tried other brands and options over the years, but in my opinion, this is the best. Love it.

Not hypo allergenic

I brough this as I read it was good for sensitive eyes. This mascara still makes my eyes water on use, so sadly it didnt work for me. I also found it gets all over my top eyelid when applying, so I'm not that keen on the formula.

I’m a fan of the original hypnose mascara and have used it for years, so when I saw this even blacker version I thought it would be even better.  It coats the lashes evenly and although it’s called absolu noir, I haven’t noticed it being much blacker than the original. However, what has frustrated me is that it migrates within an hour or so under my bottom lashes leaving a dark caste. The original never did that.  On the plus side it removes very, very easily with my usual remover and seems  to disperse very differently, I notice, on the bottom pad, so the ingredients are very different from the original. I will be going back to the original.
