5Could not recommend this enough. Ignore the people talking about white spots - it’s really simple, follow the instructions. Give the bottle a good shake before use, that’s it. As someone who was constantly using blotting papers as soon as a half hour after applying my make up this is my new holy grail. If you have doubts or the bad reviews making you second get this, all I can say is just try it. It’s worth it

Not too pleased
1I’ve been using the Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ setting spray for many years and it’s always been my go to along with the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and I’ve recently purchased the mattifying version of the Mac spray to try it out. My first experience using it wasn’t too pleasuring, first of all the smell really puts me off using it and second of all I sprayed it all over my face as I normally would and it left me with white dots all over my face! Which then resulted in me having to take my make up off completely and re do it. I mean the original one is a lot better, I think this definitely does give you that Matt finish, however I’m scared to use it now as I’m worried it’ll leave white dots all over my face and the smell is horrendous. Very chemical/plastic like hard to explain. Won’t be buying again

Awful
1I’ll admit that it does make my makeup last slightly longer but it’s not worth it with the white speckles it’s puts on my face. Awful product and a waste of money

Fave matte setting spray
5So happy i got this!! Perfect to keep makeup in place all day, especially in the heat!!

5I have oily skin , struggle to keep my make up on till the end of the day normally. I can tell a huge difference in staying power and how matt my make up stays since using this . Give the bottle a really good shake before using - you won't be dissapointed!!

Great, but...
4I bought the Mac mattifying prep and prime mist as I struggle with oiliness on my t-zone making my makeup wear off really quickly. It does help prevent it from wearing off as quickly, but my makeup is still worn off by the end of the day... I recommend still using a primer underneath as well as this mist to mattify your skin

White marks
2I’ve been using this as a setting spray according to instructions and due to the milky consistency of the product it leaves white splash makes on my face that i can’t get rid off. They are only really noticeable close up but I see them.

Lovely
4I have oily skin especially during the end of the day, this is really good for setting your face and smells great! Although make sure you shake it and spray once before using as sometimes it can spray white speckles but other than that great product!
