My wedding perfume was Tocca Margaux which is now sadly discontinued. I have the last ends of my bottle and am always trying to find something similar (or better!). This is wonderful - very much a musky vanilla based scent, warm, comforting and grown up. Good for autumn/winter. I’ll buy this over and over.

Mild haunting
Again fantastic packaging and in 30ml for travelling. This may have been inspired by the library, and has had me smelling old books to find the inspiration. It is a very discreet floral that dries down to a wood polish. There is a hint of decay even (like you might get from a frying pan with meat fat left over night), but this is harmonious. It fades quite quick so it is very much a ghost of an idea. I don’t get old paper. But I get a sense of age. I would have liked a bit more volume and sustain as I think this is too muted - Ramped up as an eau de parfum with some aroma of leather bound book. Good for daytime and is a unisex eau de toilette.
