Gorgeous Glow

I was recommended this highlighter as I have porcelain skin. I'm so pleased I took that advice. Using this on the cheek you get an amazing sheen which you can build up as much or as little as you need. However, pop it under foundation for a natural or va va voom glow. I only used it on areas I wanted a glow but you can use it all over. Great for shoulders and collar bones too!!

Beautiful shades but...

I had high expectations for this product because all of the hype around it. So yes, I bought it because of all the good reviews I heard and saw concerning the NARS Illuminator. My shade is Copacabana and I have to say that I nailed it because I'm very pale and the other shades wouldn't have worked for me, at least as highlighters. So I love the shade. Really perfect for fair skin. It's a white pearly rose (very subtle). But that's about it. Because of its consistency (liquid) it is very hard to blend once you put it on, and I tried both with my fingers and different brushes. So whenever I apply it, I'm left with these harsh lines on my face, and it becomes very visible where the highlighter is. That's why it is very important to blend it and you have to be very quick about it too, before it dries. If I blend it too hard, I simply wipe it off. If I blend it too soft, its too obvious. So this part is really tricky. I've learned that it works best with liquid foundation than with powder or cream foundation, because of its consistency. But like I said, you have to be very careful how you blend it. If this was a powder illuminator, the results were very different for sure, because of the shades that are simply beautiful. It's too bad because I love NARS products.

I was looking for a dramatic luminous highlighter and this is just that it creates a gorgeous luminious almost metallic effect on the skin. It has slight shimmer particles (not chunky glitter) thar creat a beautiful effect when the light hits it. A great product can be used on its own or mixed with your foundation to create a dewy luminous finish would reccomend 100%.
