Best for repair
5I have naturally very dark hair which I’ve bleached for the last two years, and my hairdresser recommended olaplex to me when I saw her a year ago and she tried to fix my damage. It feels so nice when it’s washed now and I know I’m giving it everything it needs to stay healthy! It smells very subtle but nice as well, but does hurt every time I have to spend that much money on it. I reckon if your hair is already healthy don’t bother.

Good product
4I have been using this shampoo and conditioner now for 2 weeks. I have quite greasy hair which is really fine and I was looking for something to try and make it so I could go two days without washing. I think this product has helped. On the 2nd day I would usually dry shampoo my hair to get though to a wash the next day but I have found I haven’t needed to so much. My hair also feels a lot healthier especially on the ends. I am going to try a few of the other products in the range as well.

I’ll never be without
5Olaplex are the only products where there is a noticeable difference in my hair. With this a little goes a long way and I use alongside the conditioner and there is a massive difference in the condition of my hair. Cannot recommend this and their range enough, I’ll never use any other!

Amazing!!
5I brought this at Christmas along with most of the other Olaplex items & I’ve used nothing but them since. My hair is softer & stronger than ever. Just gutted I didn’t make the switch sooner!

Amazing
5All I can say omg! I wish I knew about this product earlier. My hair specialty after pregnancy looked like dead for over 2 years, today after using olaplex no 3, 4, 5 I feel like I came from hair salon not from my bath! After using it once my hair absolutely amazing, it’s expensive but worth every penny

A little goes a long way
5I love how concentrated this is. It will literally last ages because you don't need a lot. I've got fine relaxed hair and this cleans without stripping my hair. I use this in conjuction with the 0,3 and 6 (the 5 is meh for me).

Triple the shedding
2When I initially started using this everything was perfect, it made my hair shiny and it was the first shampoo and conditioner duo that left my hair moisturised but not weighed down, it was so bouncy. I was obsessed, I had fine natural Afro hair that’s very curly but not coily and was an inch below bra strap when stretched. I had a bit of shedding but nothing alarming and I had recently swapped to finger detangling before a wash so I figured it was because I wasn’t getting enough of the shed hair out with fingers alone in the steps prior. I was loving the strength, shine and health of my hair so I didn’t think too much of it. I used it once a week for two months before I bleached my hair. After the dye that’s when it all went seriously south. I got other Olaplex products so alternated between this shampoo and a moisturising shampoo. Using other shampoos made me realise my hair would shed triple the amount with Olaplex shampoos (no_ 0,3,5 and 8 work perfectly fine for my hair. Only the shampoo causes excess shedding for some reason). I tried everything to reduce shedding and took much longer on wash days so I could be overly gentle to see if it would make a difference but I kept loosing so much hair in the shower it would get clogged every month (and I clean my hair out of the shower every wash so these were stands I wasn’t seeing fall off)! In total I used it for about 7 months and my hair got so much thinner it was visible! It was initially okay because I had a lot of hair although it was fine so a little more shedding wasn’t alarming until I realised just how thin it had gotten. I wasn’t getting the same great effects after a while with dyed hair either, it started feeling stripped, flat and light and wasn’t giving my curls as much definition as it did a few months ago. My hair is still shiny but it wasn’t worth it having shiny looking limp thin hair. I stopped using it and have about half the bottle left. It would have been amazing value for money if it worked for me (I used about a pea size for each wash and it lathered so well, I could definitely have used it for a year). It’s been sitting on my shelf for a few months now and will be thrown our once it reaches the one year mark and my conscience is clean. Will not repurchase ☹️ Still desperately looking for a shampoo that feels exactly like it did for the first couple of months minus the shedding. Also swapped to k18 for bond maintenance and wouldn’t go back!
