I was using the Ouai Hair Oil, which was lovely and smells fantastic even though this used to attract all the bees and wasps in my garden. So I was hesitant to try this product. This exceeded my expectations. The smell is light, gives a measured amount to prevent waste and my hair has incredible shine which lasts. For example with some hair oils if I brushed my hair this would make my hair look dull and frizzy again. With this oil it stays and lasts. My hair is less frizzy and manageable. Perfect!

Since finding the perfect amount, I've really enjoyed using this product in my haircare routine and typically apply this oil before plopping my hair. Although this product has definitely helped with my frizz, I can't say that I've noticed a great difference in the shine/vibrancy of my hair.

The Best Hair Oil

This is the best hair oil I have used for shine and softness - better than Kerastase and Moroccanoil. You don't need to use with the rest of the Olaplex products - works great as a standalone. I use on dry hair each day for shine and to tame my frizz and fly aways (I have thick curly hair)

I'm very happy with the Olaplex range. It has allowed me to control my very curly hair and maintain my blond highlights. The bonding oil is very lightweight and definitely adds shine and strength to my hair when blow dried straight. On its own it does not control frizz when I wear my hair curly, but, when used with the the No. 6 bond smoother my hair does not frizz and curls sit well. An expensive range but worth the price as a little goes a long way.

Silicone.....

I don't like what silicone does to my hair and I really dislike a product that uses silicone, as it's almost tricking you into thinking this particular product is amazing, when in fact it's the silicone that's the "hero" - so I always always check what's on the ingredients list. This time, however, because Olaplex is associated with professional hairdressing, I didn't bother. I wish I had, because I would definitely not have ordered it. I've used it once, and my hair does look smooth, however, now I realise that as silicone is the first and therefore biggest volume ingredient in the product, it looks the same way my hair does when I've unwittingly used a product containing silicone. Really disappointed that I didn't check and that this brand uses silicone throughout it's products (except for 3 I think). Will not be buying from Olaplex again.
