Differs from the usual product I've used for ages ...
I've been buying this Aveda product for many, many years, always from an Aveda concession in a department store. It's the very best, I've never been able to find anything that matches it. The product I received from LF differs in that it's really runny and gloopy, whereas the pomade has always been solid, only liquifying when warmed in your hands. It's ok, but does feel like I'm using a different product. The tub also came without the usual plastic disc under the lid, over the top of the product, but this may be a new move to reduce plastic? Leaves me feeling uncertain that this is genuine, I'll buy directly from the brand next time and compare the two.

Great for super coarse hair
My hair is very coarse and hates humidity, this works well to smooth things down and smells lovely. You only need a tiny bit. I still prefer the Brilliant styling cream but sadly think this has been discontinued.

Bought this for my frizzy ends, you need much less than you think and then it completely protects my hair all day. It will be years before i run out, maybe smaller pots be better?

A (hair)life changing product - with a learning curve
This is a fantastic product and really does stop your carefully straightened hair from curling and frizzing in humid environments. It does take practice though and only a small amount is needed to do the job. I have fine wavy hair which I like to straighten but I want it to stay that way all day. Where I live it is always humid, whatever the temperature or the weather conditions and my hair starts to wave within minutes of blow drying and straightening which is really frustrating. However this wonderful pomade, very lightly applied, makes your hair look sleek and sophisticated. Dealing with a fringe is more difficult though and I have yet to perfect the technique. With fine hair like mine enough of the product is required for it to do its job but not too much or the result is an unattractive row of rat's tails. The balance is very fine and this is still work in progress for me but the rest of my hair is so vastly improved, it moves in very 'just left the salon' way, that I know I will master it.

Excellent product. Works so well on my curly hair. Helps the curls style themselves and stops it becoming fizzy. Can be used on both dry and wet hair. Tub lasts a long time as not much is needed to rub through your hair. And it smells great too!

I'm a hair stylist with extremely frizzy, unruly hair. I've been using the Aveda Anti-Humectant pomade for at least 15 yrs. it is still the best product for keeping the humidity off my hair. It leaves my hair straight or curly. Whichever I decide to do for the day, keeping every and any humidity off of my hair. Leaves hair straight with no bulk and extremely shiny. Use it sparingly at first ( you can always add more but cannot taketh away)! Top notch stuff ! I promise. It really is only for frizzy , curly hair. They make one called Aveda humectant pomade for straighter hair without the frizz. Do not use the anti-Humectant unless you have frizz !!!!
