At last!
Aveda Brilliant damage control far exceeded my expectations. I have short hair which needs lots of heat styling to look half decent, but all of the heat protection products I've tried leave hair crispy or sticky, and cause terrible tangles during blow drying. I was drawn to this because I love Aveda products, and because the word 'detangler' was used in the description. I used it for the first time yesterday and was blown away, my hair never tangled around the brush, and it created great bounce and shine as well as adding volume. I'm planning on using it in place of conditioner after my next wash, as my hair is too soft to hold a style well after conditioning. Brilliant stuff, and aptly named!

Love this product as I use it as an alternative to the aphogee keratin green tea reconstructerizer when doing a protein treatment as it helps strengthen my hair without making it too hard as I'm slightly protein sensitive. Tried it out for 8 weeks
I used this for 8 weeks with the smooth infusion range from Aveda. My hair seemed a little dry after using this where as if I left it out of my routine my hair was softer. I am sure it protects your hair but this is better for fine to medium hair I think. Its not got enough wack to protect thick hair unless you spray like a crazy woman. A big plus is that it contains hydrolysed wheat protein which needs to be in all heat protectants to be effective I have found. I will be sticking with my Alterna Bamboo Smooth Thermal Protect though :)

I ordered this because Aveda told me that it was the replacement product for Styling Curessence which I have been using for years but has been discontinued. I have no idea why. So far I like it and it leaves my hair feeling manageable and the styling stays in place without a heavy feeling

Just brilliant!
First, I was doubtful about this product but the reviews on internet finally convinced me to give a try... and I did well! This spray is not only protective from the heat, it coats my damaged hair (I have a ombré hair), give them shine and the smell is so fabulous and relaxing! It is perfect to complete my organic haircare routine. Moreover, the huge bottle is very economical : there is a lot of product for a reasonable price. For sure, I will repurchase it!

AVEDA DAMAGE CONTROL NOT IS FOR ME
I don't have good experience with this heat protector, tangles hair and is handled badly, brush does not slide well, I molding hair with dryer and I have to pull to drag the brush. And I don't like the result, looks like mistreated and dry hair.
