The Avène Skin Recovery Moisturiser is a nourishing cream for sensitive skin.
Rich in texture, the face cream has a gentle, minimalist formula. Parcerine soothes the look of irritation while plant-based Squalane hydrates and Shea Butter conditions.
Infused with the brand’s Thermal Spring Water, the moisturiser helps to calm stressed, reactive skin. It also replenishes the natural moisture barrier, supporting a smooth, hydrated complexion.
Apply in the morning and/or evening after cleansing, to the face and neck. Can also be used as often as needed throughout the day when skin feels uncomfortable. After use and before closing, remove any excess product around the tube opening. AM PM

The best for irritated skin
For years I used this whenever my skin felt sensitive or irritated. So naturally it was what I chose when I started using Retin-A and my skin needed extra moisture and a calming effect. I use it night and morning, under make up, and it has stopped any peeling and the burning sensation. The only thing I don’t like is that it leaves a film over my skin which can be rubbed off. But if I don’t rub it, I don’t notice this at all and the benefits far outweigh this one negative. (Also the film is probably part of what makes it so moisturising).

It is suitable for everyday use, I was applying it mornings a bit and evenings in a thicker amount. It didn't help me with breakouts very much, though it kept my skin quite smooth in winter conditions.
