disappointed
Having bought the November beauty box which I loved I was looking forward to the December one. This turned out to be a complete disappointment with things like clear lip gloss, Bourjois eyeshadow, a bottle of gold collagen and a comb of no interest to me. Ole Henriksen oil was good to try but has such a strong fishy smell. Elemis papaya enzyme peel is good though. But I am even more disappointed to see Lookfantastic deleting bad reviews!

Amazing Box (again)
This is my fourth LookFantastic beauty box and all have been fabulous. This months is no exception - I think it's a great box and at around £70 worth of product for £15 the value is fantastic. The LookFantastic box is the best beauty box available at the moment BY FAR!!!

As a gift buyer
I thought I'd buy my wife one of these as a Christmas gift as they seem to all the rage at the moment (at least, I've overheard it in conversation on more than one occasion). So perhaps someone's interested in a review from the perspective of a man purchasing a "beauty box" as a gift. I can very much understand why these are popular - like opening a new present each month with unknown contents, attractive packaging and the anticipation of something new inside. I'll just take some of the magic out of the experience for a moment however - apologies. I opened the box, then hunted around LookFantastic to calculate how much this would have cost me if I'd had to buy all the component parts separately. I just don't want to feel like i've just paid for some fancy packaging! Actually, even though some of the products are small versions, it does seem to be pretty reasonable value for money. Pro rata, i reckon this collection of the unknown (to me anyways) products would be about 60 pounds plus, and you get it for a quarter of that. Not bad. Some of the products seem quite "nice" - to be honest i don't know what half of it does but their full size versions are expensive. However, i would question the value of including something that's a day's supply (or so) when you need to use it for much longer (the collagen stuff), and the travel pencil thingy was pretty small! I wanted to give it 4 stars, but i'll stick at 3 and, if my wife likes it on Christmas day, perhaps i'll give it another try for her birthday.

It's fine
I'm finding some of the reviews a little bit hysterical. No it's not got the cult products of previous boxes so yes I'm a little disappointed my first box doesn't have Jurlique, Caudalie Divine oil, glamtox or Eve Lom but it's not a bad box and by my rough calculation it's worth about £60-£65. Personally the eyeliner (black too harsh), eyeshadow (not my colours) and collagen thing are no good to me but I can find others that will use them. Elemis I've tried this before but it's been about 8-10 years my skin has changed so it will be good to try again, I've found elemis to have become very pricey so this is handy. Murad, wary of foaming cleansers, I think I'll save this till summer but having recently discovered vitamin C serums (If you have never used one you really must try, rec Caudalie or Skin&co Roma) I will try this face wash. Henricksen oil I think I'll use as a booster adding a drop to my moisturiser or other face oils, just Rosehip oil on its own my skin doesn't seem to like but 10 drops added to 10ml of my monu face oil has worked really well. Also the solid glass container will be useful to be reused. Comb didn't need but will keep in the shower to comb through conditioner or when I've styled and don't want to brush it all out with my Mason Pearson which would ruin the effect. So it's ok I think it's just that the previous boxes were incredible and this doesn't hit those heights but it's not a dud worthy of 1 star. 3.5-4.

Dont waste your cash
After reading previous months reviews I decided to treat myself to a beauty box. I would have been better off popping to boots to spend my £15. Its just a few rubbish tiny samples and there is nothing very high end or exciting. The comb and drink can be binned straight away..The bright green eyeshadow would only suit at halloween. I feel quite angry that I put my money into this as it looks like look fantastic have cleared their warehouse of stock no one is ever likely to buy. Not clever Lf.. you will certainly lose custom if u carry on like this.

mixed feelings about decembers box
I have been hanging back on buying one of these beauty boxes since they started doing them and reading the reviews I was in two minds whether to bother. what put me off were seemingly repetitive type products of stuff I already have preferences of and I doubt I would change from the lotions and potions I use religiously! as the whole idea is to try new products that work out expensive if you don't like them! What did appeal to me was the complaints that there was no lipsticks or eyeshadows etc. I don't personally use these and concentrate more on natural complexion rather than concealers and colour. So I probably picked the worse month to buy as they finally popped in an eyeshadow palette and an eyeliner which even if I did use are not the colours I would choose personally. Also being a longtime customer of look fantastic, ordering some goodies at least once a month I have always looked out for the freebie emails and stocked up on tonnes of free eyeshadows lippies eyeliners glosses etc. when I saw last months contents I was really disapointed not to have ordered because I love eve lom cleanser and glamglow and can never have too many sample sizes for travel. I really don't see the point of the comb as if you have one you're not going to buy one and if I did then they are a pound on the market so for a trial it is useless and wont suit anyone with oily hair already! Just seems it is one of those things if you wanted to try it you'd just buy it? I have mixed feelings about the supplement as I have considered trying them for a while but wonder whether it will suit me. taste wise or reaction wise so I think it is good to know that I can drink it without having side effects but the sample won't tell me if it works for me! I do love the ole henriksen oil and at just half the size of a full size bottle at £48 I think? it basically makes the box worth the money. I do like murad products so will use that but won't be buying the full size as I already use the aha bha murad cleanser or eve lom. same goes for the peel for me I won't sway from glamglow. So did I get my moneys worth? yes! was I super excited? not really after seeing last months contents!

Great box
I am very pleased with the December box. It has got great products personally I like everything even comb. I am not a big fan of make up products in the boxes that's why I like look fantastic box I think it's different than other beauty boxes. Great brands and yes there are not any full size products but sample sizes are great and brands are great. The best beauty box at the moment and I have few subscriptions:)

December Box Love
This was my second box from Look Fantastic so far i am very happy with the selection, there was only one product in it that i wont use and that is the supplement drink and that is due to allergies. I really liked that i got some make up items this month lovely pallet to do a smoky eye and i also got a lord and berry lip gloss i think some people got a liner however i am happy with what i received. i have long colored hair so i will be using my comb too hope it could help my dry ends or at least give a lovely shine. I also am looking forward to trying the skin care products in my box too all in all a good selection.xxx

Disappointing
I pre-order this box every month and am usually pleased with the range of products received. December's box was a big disappointment in comparison and seemed poorly selected as the products weren't anything special. The Elemis peel (15ml) and Ole Henriksen oil (15ml) are the only things I will be using. The Bourjois eyeshadow and Macadamia comb can be found easily on the high street and are low value. The Lord and Berry eye liner I received was broken on arrival. The supplement was just pointless. Overall, I will be waiting for the unboxing of the January box before I order again.
