Give curly hair a boost with the Bouclème Curl Defining Gel; a lightweight, deeply moisturising formula that creates a veil over hair to add ultimate body and bounce.
Delivering frizz control around the clock, the gel effortlessly defines and shapes curls, whilst enhancing shine and smoothing strands from root to tip. No greasy residue, flaking or stickiness.
Free from sulphates, parabens and silicones.
- Application differs depending on your curl texture and desired results.
- Apply to soaking wet hair.
- For extra volume: Pour gel into palms and graze gel over canopy, tip head forward and graze underneath. Apply more gel to ends and scrunch hair up towards head. Scrunch and hold each section for 10 seconds to encourage curl formation.
- For volume control: Use fingers to rake gel through hair in sections starting at the back of the head and working towards the front. Ensure even distribution. This method works well for medium/thick textures to elongate curls and prevent shrinkage.
- Style as usual. Avoid touching hair until completely dry to prevent frizz. Once hair is completely dry, tip head forward and scrunch out gel.

I havn't tried many curl cremes and I had heard good things about this gel, i was worried about spending a lot if it didn't work. I needn't have worried, it really didn't disappoint! My hair is quite frizzy and wavy, after following the directions with this gel, my waves are defined, lovely and soft and have held up in the wind today! I totally recommend this product and will be trying out the other products. I wish I could leave a picture.

I cannot rate this product enough!!!! I now have moisturised curls that are uniform :-) All my life styling products have dried my hair, so curls have no life. I apply this product to wet hair, let it naturally dry and then lightly run my fingers through, the result is what I have always dreamed of. Sounds dramatic to say that, but I have struggled my whole life with curly hair. I recently cut out sulphate shampoos and use a conditioner without silicon. This styling gel will now be a permanent edition and I'm going to look into the companies other products. I'm very sensitive to strong smells, but after the first use I got used to it and when my hair is dry I can no longer smell. It's not an unpleasant scent, can just smell the essential oils.

Good hold
I put this gel in my hair after shampoo and conditioning whilst still in the shower. It holds my curls/waves fairly well, it does leave a cast over your hair which is easily crunched out (with some oil or not). Oh and a bonus I love the smell, it reminds me of Earl Grey tea!

Hard to combine and weird scent
I like this gel. It gives good definition and a very natural effect. It's quite difficult to find a product it can be combined with, as it would either don't mix (and get a white clumpy mixture) or it makes my hair go frizzy like crazy. On it's own though is perfect. Yes, the scent might put some off as it does remind of lemon washing liquid, however it doesn't stay on hair for long!

Smelled nice, did nothing
This was a waste of money. Sure, it smells nice, and makes it a little easier to get my hair unknotted after it had been washed, but it did nothing for my curls at all, even following the instructions. In fact I think my hair is curlier without it! I'll keep using it for its detangling properties and scent, because it wasn't cheap - but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Hair takes longer to dry but amazing scent and feel
Overall, I really liked the scent and feel of the product, the citrus is noticeable but nothing that is irritating to me and I’m quite sensitive to scent. Nice hold and love it for 2nd and 3rd day hair. If I use it however on wet hair it feels like my hair never dries, washed hair in the morning, went about day and went for walk in really nice sunny weather, slept on it as always and hair still feels damp next morning and all following day. Tried a few different approaches but can’t get it to work for me. Will keep to touch up but not from wet hair. Have wavy/curly fine hair that is quite moody with product so would say still worth a try and scent and texture is lovely!
