Designed to provide long-lasting hold and definition whatever the weather, Bouclème’s Seal and Shield Styling Gel helps to protect your hair against the effects of humidity while delivering strong hold to your styles.
A blend of babassu oil, panthenol and a sugar complex lends moisturising benefits to the hair, promoting a soft feel that resists a sticky or heavy residue. Suitable for all types of curls, coils and waves, the styling gel can be used on wet hair for long-lasting definition, or dry hair to smooth the look of flyaways.
- When to Use: On wet hair, before styling.
- Application: Rake through wet hair with fingers. Apply in sections for even distribution. Style. Gel will dry firm. Once fully dry scrunch to release soft bouncy curls.
- Babassu Oil: Nutrient-rich oil with moisturising benefits
- Sugar Complex: Vegetable and marine-sourced complex that moisturises hair
- Panthenol: Also known as pro-vitamin B5, helps to moisturise hair
- Plant-derived Starch: Acts as a barrier to help defend against the effects of humidity

It’s ok
Not a big fan, it’s ok, but I’ve used better, I have fine wavy hair

Wanted to like it
This product prob works well if you have coarser hair, I have fine curly hair so on initial use my curls look lovely but they don’t hold so I end up with curls that through the day and become soft and mushy. Not enough hold for me.

Hold is great but don’t love this
Trying this after the Unisex styling gel was discontinued and I had exhausted my supply after buying up as much as I could, from everywhere! This product has great hold, a nice citrusy smell too. I’m very sensitive to smell as I’m autistic and synthetic fragrances can make me uncomfortable. The fragrance is fine for me. The hold is similar to the old Unisex range and similar texture. The difference is, this is quite drying. I sometimes use an oil to crunch out the cast of gel, but can usually get away without. This one needs it, as otherwise my hair gets quite dry. It’s probably a great product if you also use a curl cream first, which I don’t. At the moment I’m mixing this with the Super Hold Styler or the other gel from Boucleme, which stops it being so drying.

I love the smell. Not a very hard cast.
This smells great 1st of all. It comes out very fast so you get a lot in one push. Leaves a slight cast as gel does but I think it's doing something good. You can't tell because curls need a few products. I'd buy it again.
