The BYBI Beauty Bakuchiol Booster gives your skincare routine the extra helping hand it needs to revitalise your complexion. Ideal for combining with your current nighttime moisturiser, the booster is a highly targeted treatment containing only two natural ingredients: plant-based Squalane derived from Olive, and Bakuchiol. Working to leave skin appearing smoother and retextured, the booster helps to maintain normal skin, working alongside your natural collagen levels. It aims to deliver a dramatic transformation to your complexion, increasing radiance and glow.
The booster has been carefully formulated as an alternative to Retinol (Vitamin A) thanks to the addition of Bakuchiol, an ingredient that has long been used in both Chinese and Ayurvedic practices. It works to give your skin similar anti-ageing benefits by improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as pigmentation*. It helps to give your face a firmer look and feel that seems more energetic and elastic, but does so without acting as an irritant, leaving skin soothed and comfortable without dry or flaky symptoms or any additional sensitivity to sunlight.
At a 1% concentration, the Bakuchiol is blended into an olive-derived Squalane base, making for a silky, lightweight fluid that sinks readily into skin for quick and effective absorption. It leaves behind a sumptuously hydrated surface that’s soft and conditioned.

Skin Reaction!
I was so excited about this product due to the great reviews and the substantial scientific evidence that it is great for skin appearance and health. I did however have a reaction of extreme redness and itching on my face and neck along with some bumps that took several days to clear up. I imagine that this was some kind of allergic reaction although I have no known allergies prior to this. I understand that this product is meant to be good for sensitive skin and this reaction is perhaps very rare but disappointing nonetheless.

Three more bottles
I've just bought three more bottles after being impressed by the first one. Obviously it's early days to see a difference, but it's a lovely product to use - it's not a heavy oil. I add it directly to my skin and apply moisturiser on top at night. I've used retinol based serums before and have had no problems but I like that bakuchiol doesn't make skin sensitive to sunlight, especially in the summer. The biggest seller for me though is it's all natural, cruelty free, vegan and from an eco-focused company.

Great alternative to Retinol
Brilliant alternative product to retinol. If you find retinol dries your skin our I would definitely recommend using this as it has the same benefits but feel a lot nicer on your skin.

Solved My Texture!
I have recently had a flare up of bumps on my skin which has made my cheeks look quite textured - I started to use this and I was wowed by my before/after pictures! My skin is so smooth and the bumps have disappeared - you do have to be consistent with the application but I am so impressed!

Great to boost your routine!
I add a few drops into my daily or serum or moisturiser and it really boosts my skin, when I put some in my overnight cream my skin is always soft and bright when I wake up!
