The non-greasy formula features castor seed oil to hydrate and nourish the hair, protecting against the look of fly aways for a sleeker finish. Long-lasting, the gel is ideal for use under weaves and wigs, alongside encouraging better manageability of box braids.

Formulated with peppermint and tea tree oil, the drops help to nourish the scalp when wearing protective styles. The addition of avocado oil replenishes the hair’s moisture, while a blend of rice bran and nettle extract works to minimise the risk of breakage. Hair feels stronger with a touchably soft finish.

Ideal for wigs, braids, weaves and locs, the Cantu Protective Styles Hair Refreshener is expertly formulated with apple cider vinegar to help refresh natural hair and extensions. Thanks to a blend of tea tree and lavender oils, the mist works to remove trapped odours, replacing any unpleasant smell with a clean scent for long-lasting freshness.

Cleanser: Cleanse extensions or wigs in a sink or bowl. Fill the bowl up with water and pour 1-2 oz of hair bath in the water. Submerge your wig or extensions in the bath and allow to soak, then rinse and ring out the hair and use the hair bath as a shampoo. Rinse and follow up with the detangling conditioner. Gently cleanse your scalp when wearing braids or locs by applying the hair bath directly to the scalp, massage into the hair and use a spray bottle to remove the suds. Pat dry with a towel once all the cleanser has been removed to avoid frizzing of braids while removing dandruff and relieving itching. Pour 1 oz of hair bath in a spray water bottle and dilute with water. Spray on the scalp or locs to help refresh and cleanse. Rinse as needed and towel dry to remove excess water.

Gel: Place a generous amount along the parting of a section in preparation to braid and blend the gel in with a brush or fine-tooth comb to smooth the hair into place. Adjust part as needed after the hair has been smoothed to achieve a more precise parting and proceed to braid.

Oil: Pour directly onto the scalp. Massage in nightly or as needed to nourish when wearing protective styles. Pour a dime-sized amount into the palms of the hands and massage into blow dried hair prior to braiding for a weave, wig, or braided style. Use a paddle brush to evenly distribute the oil until the hair feels softer from root to tip. Proceed with braiding. Apply 1-2 drops on the ends of braids when preparing to takedown a weave or braids underneath a wig.

Spray: Spray generously into hair after a workout. Spray on a wig prior to installing. Spray on braids, twists and locs as needed. Spray as needed to neutralize odours and extend the life of your protective style. It also acts as a refresher spray on coils and locs in between shampoos.
