A hydrating gel treatment developed specifically for blemish-prone skin, CeraVe’s Blemish Control Gel targets breakouts and blackheads to promote a visibly clearer complexion. The oil-free, night-time formula can be used for all-over application or targeted use, delivering exfoliating and hydrating benefits in synergy.
A blend of alpha- and beta-hydroxy acids, including glycolic acid, lactic acid (AHAs) and 2% salicylic acid (BHA), gently exfoliates dead skin cells and pore-clogging impurities. Supported by three essential ceramides, niacinamide, glycerin and hyaluronic acid, the gel locks in moisture for up to 24 hours, protects the skin’s barrier and helps to even the look of skin tone.

- When to Use: After cleansing thoroughly. We recommend CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser.
- Application: Use applicator to dispense product onto fingers. Apply all over face for general application or use as a targeted treatment on affected areas. Apply in the evening and always follow with SPF protection in the daytime. To minimise over-drying the skin, start with one application every couple of days and then build up to daily usage or twice a day. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Routine: Discover CeraVe's everyday routine for blemish-prone skin. Cleanse the skin thoroughly using CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser. Recommended use day and night. In the morning, follow with CeraVe AM Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF 50. In the evening, apply Cerave Blemish Control Gel Facial Moisturiser.
- Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

- Lactic Acid: An AHA that removes dead skin cells
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Blemish Gel
My daughter has acne prone skin and do got her this to see if it would help. Have to be careful not to use too much as can be quite drying. Her spots seem a little less angry after using this.

Works but drying
Wouldn’t suggest for ultra sensitive skin, if you use it often it really dries out the skin. Little tip is to just dab it on the problem areas, individual spots. Don’t use all over face as it says.

Actually works
Loved this it’s really gentle on my skin and I have noticed a big difference but I’ve also used their foam face wash so I’d definitely recommend getting that too

Amazing
I have looked into buying this brand for ages based on others reviews, but felt is it just another influencer selling it. Well I can absolutely say these CeraVe products are so worth every penny. My skin has never looked better.I bought the whole blemish control products and they do work.

More suited for those with oily skin I think...
As I have found with other products from the Cerave Blemish Control range, this seems a little too harsh for my skin. I do have truly blemish prone skin but not particularly oily skin and thus I don't think this product was quite as moisturising as I personally need. I will continue to use out the tube to give it more than it's fair chance (probably limiting this to targeted treatments as opposed to the whole face) but I'm not sure I'll be repurchasing. Saying that, I love Cerave and will continue to purchase from them. I do not trust them any less, I simply just don't think this range is the best fit for my skin. Would definitely recommend for teenagers.
