It produced a White cast and then it itched !
I followed the tiny printed instructions, and gave the bottle a really good shake. I applied a sensible amount, then watched as it went on very white, then faded a little as it dried. Then it felt maybe a bit itchy. I wasn't sure. My skin is pale( usually the 2nd or 3rd palest in a lot of concealer palettes) but after one hour I had this unattractive white gleam! By this point I could really feel a much more noticeable itch building . Washed it off immediately!! I'll use it up on the backs of my hands- but definitely not my face!

Not too sure what happened
UPDATE: Ive bought a newer one, and something has definitely changed, it leaves a grey cast no matter how much I Rub it in, for that I WOULD NOT RECOMEND as black woman... very disappointing. Ill just stick to the Cos Rx aloe spf which is almost half the price of this.

Effective screen
I have rosacea and most sunscreens for face cause ‘break outs’ unless they’re oil-free. I have only used this lotion for a few days but it seems to be really effective and feels really nice on my face so I’m delighted. I’ve used it out cycling and on long energetic walks and it certainly dies the job well. I gave it 4 stars because I feel I haven’t used it long enough to justify 5 but I’m hoping it continues to prove as good as I think it is. It may seem expensive for such a small bottle but as with most Clinique products a little goes a long way.

I have combination skin and most spf I have used on my face has made me break out but this one hasn’t! It feels a bit oily first but dries really quickly and nicely onto the skin. My makeup goes on nicely on top but it has made my skin look really smooth so don’t really wear foundation that much anymore.

This is a pretty lovely SPF! I have fairly oily skin and and as a black woman the white cast fades in seconds once rubbed in properly. Its a very runny consistency which doesn't bother me and it doesn't pill/ get bitty on my skin after my serums and moisturiser. Remember this has to be applied as the last step of any skincare routine. Its also a decent base for make up for me and my oily skin. I've tried other pricier brands that aren't as undetectable which leave a horrible white cast. This is more readily available in the shops and isn't a bad price point and if I'm not mistaken is a mineral/physical SPF which is better for darker skin tones trying to prevent hyperpigmentation. I simply can not be without this!
