Clinique’s cult-favourite makeup remover enriched with Japanese charcoal, the Take The Day Off Balm helps to leave skin feeling clean and refreshed. The lightweight formula sets to work to remove stubborn makeup, sunscreen and impurities, while effectively detoxifying the skin.
Suitable for dry combination to oily skin types, the balm delivers a deep cleanse, helping to decongest the pores and remove pollutants and excess oil. Safflower seed oil, an emollient rich in linoleic acid, nourishes the skin and encourages a touchably soft finish. Transforming from a balm into a silky oil upon application, the balm resists leaving any greasy residue behind.

- Application: Use fingertips to massage cleansing balm over dry skin. Rinse well with warm water. Pat dry.

Can’t clean black stain
Cleans gently and very good. The problem is that it leaves black stain on the skin, I need to use another product to wash off the stain. Otherwise love it. Will try standard version as well.

I am still trialling this but so far I really like it. I feel like anything charcoal for your face is fun. It’s a thick balm that melts into your skin and then you wash off.

Great for Travel
This is the same review I wrote for the larger size of this product. This size is just perfect for travel, the product itself is exactly the same. I am 46 and unfortunately suffer from Acne, I have had it all my life. I have tried everything over the year so eventually I found this balm. It’s great! It’s really helped my skin! I use it as part of a double cleanse routine with The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser. I found the two together have cleared up my skin, to the point where I can now leave the house without makeup. I apply the Charcoal Balm and massage it into my skin until it becomes an oil. I really massage around my nose, jaw and chin, where most of my spots and blackheads are. I then add warm water to my hands and work that over my skin to remove it, finally I rinse my face with warm water to remove everything. My face feels clean, soft and unclogged. My blackheads look better and I have hardly any spots. It’s really worked for me.
