Clinique’s cult-favourite makeup remover enriched with Japanese charcoal, the Take The Day Off Balm helps to leave skin feeling clean and refreshed. The lightweight formula sets to work to remove stubborn makeup, sunscreen and impurities, while effectively detoxifying the skin.
Suitable for dry combination to oily skin types, the balm delivers a deep cleanse, helping to decongest the pores and remove pollutants and excess oil. Safflower seed oil, an emollient rich in linoleic acid, nourishes the skin and encourages a touchably soft finish. Transforming from a balm into a silky oil upon application, the balm resists leaving any greasy residue behind.

- Application: Use fingertips to massage cleansing balm over dry skin. Rinse well with warm water. Pat dry.

Will not re purchase
Hi I love a good cleansing balm but this one feels a bit strange. Possibly the charcoal- it doesn’t feel rich and luxurious or like it’s really taking the day off- the whole process just felt a bit flat. It worked quite well, most of my makeup melted away but it weirdly didn’t feel like it was working. I would stick with the original versio .

Love this stuff, on my 2nd pot now. Stong enough to melt a full face of make up and waterproof mascara, yet gentle enough not to irritate my sensitive combo skin. Leaves skin so soft. I use a cotton pad to scoop out, put on the face, then rub in with fingers. I leave it on for a minute or so. You don't need to use a lot of product either, which is great. I follow with a garnier sensitive cleanse wash, then clinique moisture surge.

Skin feels so soft!
I usually use the Slaai makeup-melting butter cleanser by Drunk Elephant but fancied a change and this appeared to be a good alternative. I've only used the product twice as I don't wear makeup every day, only on weekends or special occasions, but it does make my skin feel super soft and prepped for my serum. Wishing it came with some sort of tool to scrape out the right amount but otherwise really happy with this purchase!

I do not use this every day, I rotate with other cleansers. It is easy to use and takes off all my make up easily and well. My skin always feels clean and soft after use. It can be a bit messy, but worth it

I bought this as a first step in my double cleanse routine. I have combination skin also have type 2 rosacea. I bought this as my skin has been slightly oilier of late which I’m putting down to the menopause. This really does melt off my spf and make up, I do have to go in again with a second cleanser for my mascara but I really like how it makes my skin feel soft after cleansing and how there’s no irritation or redness.
