Designed for curly or coily hair types that are extremely dehydrated and dry, Color Wow’s Extra Strength Dream Coat offers the same anti-humidity benefits, now with powerful moisturising and waterproofing technology.
The heat-activated anti-frizz spray locks in moisture and blocks out humidity thanks to invisible flex-elastic polymers that keep straight blow-dried styles looking sleek and glossy. The formula infuses brittle, porous strands with moisture, while waterproof technology helps to minimise the appearance of frizz and flyaways for up to three shampoos.
Safe for keratin-treated hair.
- When to Use: After shampooing, conditioning and towel-drying hair.
- Application: Divide hair into sections. Spray each section liberally and comb through. Blow-dry each section using tension. Dryer heat is required to activate. If using a straightener, heat should not exceed 190°C. Use every 3-4 shampoos.

Thought it would be better
I bought this after trying my mom’s and I thought it worked really well. Made my hair a lot smoother but after using it a few more times I don’t think I would buy it again. I can’t really notice a difference any more.

Always repurchase this as a gift for my mum because it is so good for her hair (she has menopausal hair that can sometimes be more brittle and frizzy) and she absolutely loves it. It really maintains the style through an evening and even in humid summer temperature. It also gives a really lovely shine to the hair. It’s one of the only products she uses routinely and it is such a staple. Can’t quite find anything else like it! Also while this version is more expensive I would definitely say it is worth it if your hair is on the more brittle or dry side.

I am almost done with growing out the fried ends from a misguided stint with level 2 brunette hair. I have tried a plethora of products to keep my hair healthy without losing too much length and colorwow has served me time and time again. Due to regrowth and a chemical cut, I have flyaways galore and fluffy ends and they need plenty of attention to keep them smooth. Dreamcoat has always been a saviour but I found that in the humidity of spring / autumn, my hair often has flyaways that don’t tame well and dull the overall shininess of my hair. This extra strength spray has really helped my hair to look sleeker, while giving it the heat protection needed for regular blow dries. The fact you only need to apply it every few washes is always a bonus, meaning less steps in my mid-week hair care routine.

This is incredible. My silk presses last through rainy weather, now don’t get me wrong your hair will revert if it touches water but if outside is damp, hair stays straight! I was pleasantly surprised!! As long as it’s used right your silk presses should hold up. I have type 4 hair.
