Healing Broken Moisture/Skin Barrier
I was previously using Hyaluronic acid (HA) from The Ordinary (TO) but this Cosrx Snail Mucin is just so so good. I switched to this serum because although my skin had cleared up with HA, a windy day completely dried my skin out and everything came back 10x worse :( TO still works but I’ve found that Snail Mucin really keeps your skin moisturised without it feeling like it has dried out your skin which is something HA feels like in general regardless of how you apply it - HA is still a super good budget option and it works really well!! However, this serum is just top tier, I would advise you buy HA if you need to use a lot on your skin because I go through Snail Mucin very quickly and it does become costly. My moisture barrier has healed so much better with this specific serum. It has cleared up my cheeks which is amazing, currently I have a few angry spots on my forehead and chin but once they go I am going to be left with small closed comedones that will be exfoliated away with my moisturiser. I used to wash my face every morning and night with my old routine because my face would feel dry but now I just wash it at night. Since adding this to my routine, I only have a PM routine. 1) I wash my face with just water at night (I still use a cleanser but only weekly.), 2) apply Snail Mucin to slightly wet face, 3) then apply Eucerin Urea Repair once my skin feels sticky. I apply more Urea repair to my driest areas like a face mask so that when I wake up in the morning my face is still moisturised This serum has really made a difference in healing my moisture barrier, though it is expensive I’ve rated it 5 stars because I think it has been completely worth it for me
