I’m a nurse and working with a mask has really taken a toll on my skin. I even started to break out in spots in the area only where I wear my mask. Fabulous SPF
I’m a complete newbie to SPF, but having read Caroline Hirons skincare book I realised this was something I needed to start incorporating into my daily skincare routine. I looked at various different options and whilst this wasn’t the cheapest out there I chose it because of the excellent spf protection and because I use a lot of other Dermalogica products which work well with my skin. I really love it. It applies lovely and doesn’t leave a white cast. It also is a lovely base under make up. I have quite sensitive eyes so am careful not to get to close with the spf but so far haven’t had any issues with streaming. My skin is quite dry so I use moisturiser underneath this - but I think most people could get away with using this as a moisturiser and spf. I would definitely recommend and would but again, despite there being much cheaper options available.

Definitely dynamic
I have been using Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 for several years and it is excellent. I got it to take on holiday and now use it every day. Dermalogica products aren’t cheap and I have tried to find alternatives but the difference is so noticeable I keep coming back and this is definitely a “Hero” product.

Simply outstanding
I suffer from dry/combi skin so whilst technically I have combination skin, if I don't moisturise straight after my face getting wet it becomes dry and flaky. Not only does this moisturiser lock in moisture, it gives an amazingly healthy looking sheen/glow as a base to make up. People - even my mother - have complimented me on how healthy and glowing I have looked since I started using it! And whilst the sun hasn't been shining a lot lately, So it's difficult to assess the spf, my facial sun spots haven't worsened and my skin does appear to have been protected. What's more, whilst the price tag may seem on the high side, I bought this in Oct and it hasn't run out yet! After using 2-3 'pumps' per day! Highly recommended and feel like stocking up in the event they ever decide to discontinue! My most favourite moisturiser ever!

Having watched the BBC documentary 'The Truth About Looking Good' over Christmas (well worth a watch on catch up) I realised the only skincare essential I couldn't live without had to contain a high UBV rating (denoted by the commonly used SPF rating) and high UVA rating. The UVA bit can be confusing, it's either not mentioned at all, or its mentioned vaguely as in 'offers UVA protection' or it's indicated by a star rating (e.g on anything you buy in Boots). What you want is to see the are the letters UVA are in a circle which is in fact a logo and indicates that the UVA projection is at least a third that of the UVB. This moisturiser has SPF 50 and the UVA in a circle, so basically it does't get much better than that. Mistakenly I switched to a cheaper, alternative brand a few weeks ago to see if that matched up, needless to say it did not and my skin has become dry, flaky, and puffy under the eyes. I am going back to this and sticking with Dermalogica from now on.
