Good but needs work
Like many other people, I was disappointed a few months ago to realise that Estée Lauder had withdrawn their Double Wear Light make-up. I immediately found that the Double Wear Sheer was too runny and with less coverage than I wanted. However, I have found the answer to my problem. I used to wear standard Double Wear and had always wished that the Light version was supplied in the same shades. So, now that Double Wear Sheer has the same colour range as Double Wear itself, I mix them in a ratio of about two thirds Sheer to one third standard Double Wear, both in the same colour, of course - 2C2 Almond for me. Job done and I’m a happy bunny!

Service from Look Fantastic was great. But this product is awful! I was a loyal user of the original double wear light. They re formulated and I found the replacement disappointing. This one however is even worse. Waste of money on this one. Makes my eyes burn, little to no coverage, greasy, settles in lines.

Not as good as double wear light
Estée Lauder has really let us down on this one. It transfers horribly if you touch your face, if your face touches your jacket or when your little niece gives you a massive squish and it gets all over her glasses! It blends well and the colour is the good but the transferability really lets it down for me. Won’t be buying again.

I wanted to love this. I needed a nice light summer cover up… however i found it to be far too watery and it separated on my face within an hour. (Combination skin) Not one I will be buying again. I will stick with the hydra rescue or CTs light wonder.

Lovely Foundation
It's not often I buy high end foundations but I decided to treat myself and see what all the hype was about. My skin tone was matched up to Estée Lauders shade Cool Bone. I was delighted to find that this is probably the most natural colour and shade of a foundation that iv used. It just gave my skin that natural no foundation look. Light and dewy and fresh. Once set with a finishing powder my skin looked flawless. I will say this foundation is very sheer though. So if you have good skin in the first place it will work well for you. I personally had to build up on the coverage quite a bit to get the desired look. This would have gotten five stars from me but the texture is quite watery for a foundation and you end up using quite a bit to get the desired coverage, I have however purchased it again because the colour match is just perfect and doesn't, like a lot of foundations, get that orange tinge after a few hours of wear. Does it last all day? Not quite, but it leaves my skin that dewy and fresh looking it's currently my favourite foundation when I can afford to buy it.

I tried this version of the Double Wear after trying the original which I found too matte and dry looking. I love the texture, feel and look of this on the skin and find it very long lasting. It makes my skin look and feel silky smooth and I would recommend it as a replacement for the Double Wear Light that was discontinued.

Replacement to Doublewear Light
Estee Lauder recommended this as a replacement to the discontinued doublewear light. The colour matched perfectly however the consistency is much lighter and runs out like a liquid. The coverage goes on much more silky and can be built up. I loved the last product however this is a close match if you are looking for an alternative.
