Lovely foundation
This is a beautiful base if you enjoy a dewy, moisturised look to the skin. It has way more coverage than I was expecting (I’m a light coverage kinda gal) but applies beautifully. It does transfer on my, but that’s almost to be expected with such a dewy base. My only complaint was I couldn’t find a good colour match. I was colour match in store first but none of the undertones really worked for me, which is surprising as in very neutral. The one I ended up going with is just a bit too pink.

The best for us wrinklies
At 54 and looking like a prune I had stopped wearing foundation because it settled in my wrinkles, well you know what I mean if you’re at the stage in your life where everything shrivels up. So I saw this and thought I would give it one last go (I’ve wasted a small fortune) I also started to use skincyclopedia aha exfoliating serum every other day at the same time. I used a sponge to apply the foundation and it looked awesome. No cakey bits and didn’t settle in my wrinkles. The cover is buildable too.

Definitely not what I’d class as lightweight
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike this product. But for me this isn’t a lightweight formula, this is near enough a foundation. I have a number of bb/ cc cream type products that are far nicer than this, this feels like I’m wearing a full face of makeup

I've been using this foundation for a few years. I like the dewy look for a more natural day, I'd say this is a medium coverage, it gives a nice fresh faced natural look paired with some tinted liquid cheek blush.

Not as good as Double Wear
I was so excited to try this. I have been using double wear (DW) for over 10 years, and this was supposed to be especially suitable for those with dry skin - excellent! The first thing I noticed was the runny consistency - that told me straight away that I wasn't going to like the coverage. Yes it's buildable but I honestly don't have the time in the mornings to spend building up layers of foundation! I barely have time for applying all the skincare products I need! Pros - it goes on well, the colour match is good (I went for the same colour as my DW colour), I like the fact that it comes with a pump. Cons - I don't like the tube (I prefer the DW bottle), it's runny so harder to apply and takes longer to build more coverage, I haven't noticed any 'hydrating' properties at all, in fact I would say it's less hydrating that DW. It doesn't last as long as DW either. So all in all, it's a no from me. I wish I had bought it in the summer as I imagine as a lighter coverage summer foundation it would work well. If you have dry skin and you hope this will go on better than DW, I think you will be disappointed. BTW Estee Lauder - I don't want to have to buy 2-3 different priming, serum products to put on prior to putting this on thanks! Your foundation on its own is expensive enough, and it should work well on its own. I will stick to DW in the future.
