Refresh your complexion with the Green Clean Make Up Meltaway Cleansing Balm from FARMACY, a New York-based brand that combines innovative science with clean, locally grown ingredients to deliver farm-to-face skincare with effective results.
Utilising Papaya Extract, the balm-to-oil formula creates a luxurious lather upon contact with water to gently exfoliate and refine skin, without stripping or drying. Sunflower and Ginger Root Oils effectively dissolve stubborn makeup and impurities, whilst a revitalising blend of Lime, Bergamot and Orange Essential Oils leave skin feeling clean and fresh. Echinacea GreenEnvy™ (the brand's patented and exclusive plant) promotes a smooth, even tone and texture.
Not tested on animals.
Free from parabens, phthalates, mineral oil and synthetic fragrance.
Scoop a generous amount with the included spatula, and apply to dry skin. Use your fingertips to massage into skin with gentle upward and outward circular motions, focusing on areas that need attention (like eye makeup). The solid balm melts into an oil on contact with skin, then a milky lather when water is applied. Splash with water or wipe off with a warm, damp washcloth.

Love this
I’ve used so many cleansing balms that I love! The Elemis cleanser, the Emma hardie one and I love the Eve lom cleanser. Was keen to try this as there has been a lot of hype! What a beautiful formula. Smells lovely, comes with a spatchy spatch (so you don’t dip your dirty fingers in the tub). I use it by rubbing it gently into my dry face covered in make up and then I wet my hands and rub my wet hands into my face and the formula becomes a lovely milky colour (sign of a great formula). I then wash away with a face cloth and voila no make up! Sometimes I’ll cleanse twice if I have super thick make up on. However it really isn’t needed I think I’m just enjoying the experience too much. I follow up with a water based cleanser. (Double cleanse - oil based followed by water based) Love all the natural ingredients. The only ingredient I don’t like is the polyethylene, it’s a plastic they use to make the product slip around the face properly. It’s perfectly safe don’t worry but from an ethical perspective I’m not sure how this effects the environment when you wash it down the sink. Maybe research this if this is important to you. But it’s hard to find a nice cleanser without it. Note to future cleanser designers try and find a replacement for polyethylene.

Cleansing balm
The nicest make up remover balm I have ever used!!!! I always double cleanse after wearing make up and honestly this took it off instantly!! Such an amazing smell and such a smooth texture. It literally melts away make up just like it says. I highly recommend!!!

Will never go back!!
Having sensitive combination skin, I am prone to break outs, blemishes etc.. so trying to find the best way to remove make up is difficult. As soon as you put the soft wax onto your face it turns into an oily substance and you can see your make up lift off to the surface. My face feels clean and doesn't go red like it can with other methods. I love that it comes with a little applicator so you are keeping the product itself clean! I won't be using anything else in future.

Ms
Saw loads of people rave about it so I wanted to try. I have dry and sensitive skin during wintertime. The texture is very light, glide on easily on the skin. It also has a refreshing scent to it, feel great when message your face. However, I can still feel the residue even if I use warm water to emulsify the oil before washing off. Has been using this for over 2 weeks now, it potentially breaks me out since I only change to this makeup remover in my skincare routine. Should check the ingredients see if you are allergic to any essential oil.

Pleasant!
Very nice and soothing for my oily sensitive skin. The smell is pleasant, not too strong, probably these essential oils.

Best cleansing balm!
This is first time I purchase this from LF. I am finishing my first one bought from a friend and I was amazed by easy it emusifies and how clean and yet gentle if felt, with no greesy residuals. I don't make up a lot, but using it to remove my Murad spf50 sunscreen. Giving a 4 star because it got into my eyes first time I used it and blurred my vision for a while, so I became very careful for the subsequent uses and I was ok.

I wanted to love this, but...
Unfortunately this didn't hold up to my high expectations. For a long time I've been looking for a natural oil or cleanser that will remove my light makeup as quickly, easily and efficiently as coconut oil. Unfortunately my toddler is very allergic to nuts and coconut, and reacts even when I use it on myself. So I have been searching far and wide for something that's nut free but will do the same amount of work as coconut oil, and nothing has quite managed to compare thus far. I saw lots of great reviews of this product and it really interested me. I thought I'd finally found my new holy grail. But the truth is it just doesn't work for me very well; I still end up with panda eyes and I don't even use waterproof mascara. I've tried using this every which way (massaging in for a few minutes, rinsing. Hot cloth over face, gently wiping off etc) and nothing has helped this product to perform as it should. I feel a bit conned, as this product is not cheap and it just doesn't perform as effectively as reviewers have claimed it to. I also found it really agitated my eyes every time I've used it to take off my mascara, and even when being super careful not to get it in my actual eyes it still makes them bloodshot and blurry for a while. I've even used it on a bare face to test if it's my makeup that causes the issue, but it's definitely this product as it only happens when I get this near my eyes. I don't think this product is safe for eyes, but maybe it is just my sensitive eyes. On the plus side it's non comodegenic, but I double cleanse anyway so usually that isn't an issue for me. It feels like a balm, with a creamy, slightly oily feel when you first apply which I enjoy. But when activated with water it goes slippery, the consistency becomes completely creamy and that greasy feeling goes away, and leaves your face feeling soft. It has a lightly tangy, almost citrus scent to me, only slightly herbal which is the smell I was expecting based on reviews so I was a little dissapointed. I'm not a big fan of the smell, but as long as it doesn't contain synthetic perfumes I don't care. It's great for removing my sunscreen or face makeup and it does feel luxurious, but for my eye makeup removal it's left me unsatisfied and a bit itchy. They should offer sample sizes of this product as it's an expensive way to discover it doesn't work!

Extremely irritating
I really wanted to love this product after all the positive reviews. However, it completely broke my skin out in small red pimples all over my face. My eye area was red and burning for a couple of days afterwards, and very dry. This balm was a real irritant for my skin and I unfortunately will not be trying it again.
