Keeps on breaking
Good straighteners but breaks easily. My 1st GHD+ only lasted for less than two years and got replaced as it was still under warranty. The replacement also broke and I purchased another one, which also broke after 3 years.

Keep breaking
I have already sent these back once and the have just cut out again the red light comes on them and can’t be used stick to originals I have had to go back to them till ghd sort it out again

Ref fault light
Same experience as reviewer Holly. Red fault light has come on and gives off a constant beep. Checked my purchase history and have had them for nearly 7 years so out of warranty but my earlier basic model ones were still going after 10 so had assumed upgrading was a good idea. Will be dusting off my old ones before spending more money to replace.

Love GHD but disappointed
Brought the GHD platinum Plus around 2 years ago. The best hair straighteners I’ve ever used. 2 years down the line a fault has come up on the hair straighteners, a red flashing light which is a safety alert to stop the GHDs heating up and burning your hair( meaning the GHDs won’t heat up). I then got in contact with a company in which fix GHDs and was told the above. GHD is supposed to be a reliable company, professionals and top hair dressers use their products E.g; straighteners, hair dryers daily. It’s very disappointing. If your thinking of purchasing these hair straighteners, I wouldn’t. I would look at other models from GHD. Absolutely love the brand but this is very disappointing. You can search up GHD platinum plus fault and there’s lots on information on this. Something I didn’t realise or knew before purchase. Hope this helps anyone looking to purchase the GHD platinum plus. (This is a true fault, please search this before purchasing)

Great for maybe a year
Great product at first, have had them a year and 1 week. They are beautiful, to hold and to use, they made my hair shine like no other. However they have started flashing and beeping, not heating up at all. Great if you fancy a little disco in a cupboard. Not so great for actual reliability. There have been a few days sporadically where they did this also but have been fine after unplugging them and retrying. This time, it seems they're dead. Not really a great product from ghd for the price I paid. Wouldn't recommend. At all.
