Does exactly what it says on the tin
After looking at loads of other products I bought this after being recommended it by my hairdresser as my hair had suddenly become greasy despite it just being washed. It definitely solved my problem and gave my hair an amazing clean - it took a couple of washes and then my hair was back to normal. I did find it left my quite dry afterwards so I’d definitely recommend using a decent conditioner or hair mask afterwards. I’d definitely recommend!

great shampoo for blondes
I love buying products to maintain my long hair as I bleach it and I have used this brightening shampoo in this range so thought I would try this. This is great for when I have used a lot of products in my hair for styling or it feels a little dull and needs a refresh. I think it helps clarify the mineral build up and I can tell a difference when I have used this. It is expensive but as you dont need to use it every time mine tends to last me a long time. I will repurchase this again as I can tell a difference from the first time using it.

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend who uses joico’s products and as someone with thick frizzy blonde highlighted hair who lives in a hard water area a gentle but strong clarifying shampoo is a must. This didn’t fry my hair and left it feeling light and clean. Bear in mind I do use a mask or heavy conditioner afterwards. All in all I would recommend.

Surprised by the results
I wanted to try a clarifying shampoo after seeing online videos Of build up from using supermarket shampoos. I used this shampoo the day before having my hair coloured with a blonde toner and the colour turned out really nice - better than usual and my hairdresser noticed the same difference. I recommend using once or maybe twice a week and my hairdresser advised me not to use it for a few weeks after having my hair done as it may strip the colour.

I have some experience with the Joico K-PAK range. The products are really well designed, and do what they claim they do, unlike a lot of stuff that is out there. Protein products will work only if there is enough protein of a specific type in the formula - which Joico K-PAK has; therefore you get results, not just wasted money. This shampoo is not for everyday use, I would recommend once a week. It really strips all buildup, especially mineral buildup, from the hair. However, it is quite drying to me, so and intense hydrating mask or some kind of pH adjuster is needed afterwards. A good idea that I do sometimes is to use a coconut oil mask before shampooing, as coconut oil is an efficient chelating ingredient. After that you shampoo with this product - and your hair is left completely stripped of any gunk and minerals. The color is shinier and more true!
