Kérastase’s Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo is a clarifying formula that helps to minimise the risk of breakage and hair fall. Ideal for weak, brittle hair, the shampoo gently cleanses the lengths of impurities and excess oils, while leaving strands feeling stronger and fuller.
The formula is fortified with a blend of edelweiss native cells and ginger root to encourage the illusion of thicker-looking hair. Enriched with Aquaxyl for an added moisture boost, the shampoo promotes a lustrous glossy appearance.
- Recommended Amount: A coin-sized amount.
- Application: Wet hair and remove excess water before applying a small amount of shampoo onto the hair. Add water and emulsify.
- Routine: Rinse and repeat.

New Favourite
Been using this shampoo along with the conditioner for a few weeks now and really like the results. Since going onto a new pill I have suffered from a lot of fall out and noticed my hair has been much thinner. 3-ish weeks in and I feel my hair is back to its full thickness!

I'm obsessed with this haircare routine
I have tried quite a lot of hair strengthening products since my hair is naturally thin and I want it to be as strong as possible. It's great for thin and oily hair, my hair feels clean for a longer time and now I don't need to wash it daily. The smell felt quite strong the first couple of times I used the shampoo and the conditioner, but then I got used to it. It smells really nice but I was used to haircare with softer fragrances. I definitely recommend it along with the conditioner and the post-wash treatments of the range - the best I have tried in a long time.

Not exactly as expected
I was certainly looking forward to use this as I do struggle with stress related hair loss. It has not made any significant difference with hair loss as I can still see the same amount on brushing my hair. Surprisingly though the hair appears more volumized. And as is the case with all Kerastase products the smell is sublime and it certainly makes it feel fresh. It does dry out hair and will need 'doubling' the amount of conditioner used.

This product is great
I love the hydrating effect after use since my hair is pretty dry! Reccommend for anyone who's hair needs a touch of TLC. :) My hair always feels soft and conditioned after using this and it leaves it manageable and glossy. My whole family use this now, so it's a constant on my shopping list.

One of the best
I bought this shampoo for my damaged and dry hair. I have some split ends, so really want to try it. Firstly the shampoo package is so lovely and suitable while you travelling around the world. This is so comfortable! Bottle is made in clear plastic package and you can see how much used already. It smells divine! I am in love with this beautiful scent and hair smells after for few hours. Easy to apply, no need put whole bottle on your hair. Take a bit and apply with water and massage with fingers. It is so refreshing feeling! When my hair is dries they are so soft after this shampoo, smells very lovely and looks with good volume. Also healthy. So highly recommend and get 10/10 in my final decision.

Great shampoo
Lovely product. Left my hair feeling soft and manageable but I only had a small size bottle which wasn't enough to tell if it actually stops breakage. I will however buy a larger bottle to test this out as I feel it may do some good.

My hair is very greasy, I could never find a good shampoo but Kerastase shampoo is what I was looking for, it is great. My hair looks healthy and shiny after the first use. I will definitely continue using Kerastase products.

Wonderful!
The first thought was the wonderful smell when I opened the bottle. The shampoo feels luxurious, silky & easily lathers up. It left my hair feeling totally clean & brushed with no tangles. Would highly recommend *****

THE BEST SHAMPOO FOR HAIR LOSS
This is the best shampoo i have ever used to reduce hair loss, i have used scientific ones and very expensive products and this is easily twice as good, i noticed less hair falling after brushing for the first time after using this with the conditioner and serum. Also stopped my hair getting oily so could go longer between washes. If you have fine hair that is prone to hair loss, buy this product, you will not be disappointed.

Gentle yet effective
Everything I look for in a shampoo. It has a reassuring amount of cleansing lather with a small amount of product leaving hair clean without stripping moisture. A soft gentle scent, not overly perfumed.
