Kérastase’s first pre-shampoo hair treatment, suitable for all hair types, removes excess calcium and helps visibly repair all types of damaged hair. This includes damage by heat tools, colour treatment, bleaching, over-processing and other types of hair damage.
Calcium in water can further damage already delicate over-processed or bleached hair. Being more porous, damaged hair can absorb up to 3 times more calcium than natural hair. This hair treatment is formulated with a concentration of 8% pure citric acid and glycine and has a dual action: it decalcifies hair from this calcium overdose and works to repair its appearance, helping to visibly restore hair strength and reverse its stiff, dull appearance. Once excess calcium is removed, this product which is formulated with the amino acid glycine, works to deeply repair the feel of strands. Hair is left stronger, healthier-looking, and shinier – as if renewed.
- When to Use: Before shampooing.
- Application: Apply generously onto wet lengths. Massage throughout. Leave on for 5 minutes. Don’t rinse.
- Routine: Layer with the Kérastase Première Decalcifying Repairing Shampoo, then rinse out both. Finish with the Première Decalcifying Repairing Conditioner as the final step.
- Citric Acid: An organic acid that neutralises dullness and stiffness by removing calcium overdose
- Glycine: An amino acid that helps to visibly repair and reduce breakage

I feel like I’ve been to the salon

A good Pre Shampoo!
This pre shampoo first of all comes in a very handy bottle. I like how you just pump the bottle as it easier while in the shower. It would be nice if more product came out when pumped as I had to do several pumps just to cover my hair. Applying the pre shampoo was just like any normal shampoo, it went on nice and smells absolutely lovely! I definitely think using this pre shampoo helped my hair as it now feels amazing! It works really well with the other products in this line & would recommend using them all together.

Great product!
This shampoo is different! Works wonder. I used to had a lot of hair fall but after using this, it definitely lessened. My hair always looks fresh and smooth for 2-3days. This is really a highly recommended product!

Good product
This is supposed to go on first it's like a hair serum smells like ginger and isn't soapy like shampoo, my normal shampoo I have to use twice so having this saves me using shampoo twice which is a nice idea. Instructions are easy to read and come in many languages. But with the use of the shampoo and conditioner my hair feel so great and will probably use again.

New holy grail
I’ve been looking for some hair care to help cure my damaged hair for ages (like loads of people I decided lock down was the best time to try a new hair colour..) my hair has been paying for it ever since. I have been using the mask once a week and the shampoo and conditioner every time I was my hair (around 2-3 times a week) and it has made it feel so strong and soft and looks so much healthier. Definitely one I’m going to stick with, love it

Softer, shinier and healthier hair
This pre-shampoo is a miracle product. I’ve never tried a hair product that has felt so luxurious and had such amazing results. From the first wash my hair has smelt amazing, felt so soft and shiny and felt stronger. This has only got better with every wash. I have also seen a clear improvement in the breakage of my hair. I will definitely be purchasing this again and would definitely recommend.

Small things can make a huge difference
I never thought before to use a pre-shampoo treatment. I feel it makes a big difference in my hair routine. It's very light weight and I think it makes the shampoo "foam" and spread easier on your hair.

Amazing results in first wash
This is great! I’m always a sucker for an expensive shampoo and conditioner but this is amazing. It foamed up so well, and the after result is great! I have highlighted hair and it just made my hair feel so much more stronger and smoother!

Pre-wash
The product had a nice light citrus smell, was a thin texture. Only issue was the pump sizes were small and it was difficult to know how much to put in the hair especially on long thick hair as it didnt feel like it spread much
