Kérastase’s first pre-shampoo hair treatment, suitable for all hair types, removes excess calcium and helps visibly repair all types of damaged hair. This includes damage by heat tools, colour treatment, bleaching, over-processing and other types of hair damage.
Calcium in water can further damage already delicate over-processed or bleached hair. Being more porous, damaged hair can absorb up to 3 times more calcium than natural hair. This hair treatment is formulated with a concentration of 8% pure citric acid and glycine and has a dual action: it decalcifies hair from this calcium overdose and works to repair its appearance, helping to visibly restore hair strength and reverse its stiff, dull appearance. Once excess calcium is removed, this product which is formulated with the amino acid glycine, works to deeply repair the feel of strands. Hair is left stronger, healthier-looking, and shinier – as if renewed.
- When to Use: Before shampooing.
- Application: Apply generously onto wet lengths. Massage throughout. Leave on for 5 minutes. Don’t rinse.
- Routine: Layer with the Kérastase Première Decalcifying Repairing Shampoo, then rinse out both. Finish with the Première Decalcifying Repairing Conditioner as the final step.
- Citric Acid: An organic acid that neutralises dullness and stiffness by removing calcium overdose
- Glycine: An amino acid that helps to visibly repair and reduce breakage

Strengthens my hair 👱♀️
My hair loves this sooo much!! Have the rest of this set and it’s amazing it’s done wonders for my bleached processed hair. Great for popping on 15 mins before a shower , makes my hair so soft and strong !

I'm amazed! Just what my hair needed
I have a lot of build up in my hair from using hairspray and having my hair up for work all week and before using the Pre-shampoo treatment I would go in with the usual other brands of shampoo and conditioner, but I would still feel the stiffness from use of hairspray after washing and drying. Since using this Pre-shampoo, along with the Kèrastase shampoo and conditioner my hair is finally free from build up! I used an appropriate amount, lathered it onto my hair and left it for 5 minutes before rinsing off. It has a very fresh and floral smell to it. After rinsing it out of my hair it left my hair feeling super soft!

Amazing!
Absolutely blown away with this product. I have never tried a product and had instant results. I currently have bleached, damaged and very dry hair and with the first use have noticed instant results. My hair feels amazing, soft, glossy and like I have just had a treatment in a salon! Styling time also felt reduced and effortless. 10/10 would highly recommend to everyone. Very very satisfied and happy!

Soft, smooth hair
It's easy the use, the instructions are clear to understand. It has left my hair feeling soft, bouncy and smooth. The only thing I don't particularly like is the smell. But that is the only thing I have to complain about, otherwise it's a great product.

Hair feels fresh
I have just washed my hair for the first time with this product and my hair already feels so clean and fresh. You leave the product on for 5 minutes before rinsing and it made my hair smell and feel clean.

Something I never knew I needed!
Pre-Shampoo Treatment: Honestly I never even knew there was a pre-shampooing treatment product. Kérastase have opened my eyes to a new product/range and I definitely will be getting this product again! It made my hair feel silky and soft. I found it interesting that I didn’t need to rinse it out but it made shampooing so much easier!

Amazing set of products
The set of products (pre shampoo, shampoo and conditioner) are amazing for your hair, after only a few washstand you can see and feel the difference already, its helped with the frizz and overall health of my hair

Nice pre wash
I have never used a pre treatment before so this was new to me, the product smells great and is easy to soak in to damp hair before you shampoo. Felt my hair softer when it came to shampooing

a very good preparatory shampoo before normal washing shampoo, it spreads well. It has a good structure and is therefore very easy to use

Fantastic product
This product is great. It is applied before shampoo or conditioner and left on for 5 minutes. My hair has been damaged over the years with colouring/heat products but even after one use my hair felt great after using this in my hair washing routine.
