Kérastase’s first pre-shampoo hair treatment, suitable for all hair types, removes excess calcium and helps visibly repair all types of damaged hair. This includes damage by heat tools, colour treatment, bleaching, over-processing and other types of hair damage.
Calcium in water can further damage already delicate over-processed or bleached hair. Being more porous, damaged hair can absorb up to 3 times more calcium than natural hair. This hair treatment is formulated with a concentration of 8% pure citric acid and glycine and has a dual action: it decalcifies hair from this calcium overdose and works to repair its appearance, helping to visibly restore hair strength and reverse its stiff, dull appearance. Once excess calcium is removed, this product which is formulated with the amino acid glycine, works to deeply repair the feel of strands. Hair is left stronger, healthier-looking, and shinier – as if renewed.
- When to Use: Before shampooing.
- Application: Apply generously onto wet lengths. Massage throughout. Leave on for 5 minutes. Don’t rinse.
- Routine: Layer with the Kérastase Première Decalcifying Repairing Shampoo, then rinse out both. Finish with the Première Decalcifying Repairing Conditioner as the final step.
- Citric Acid: An organic acid that neutralises dullness and stiffness by removing calcium overdose
- Glycine: An amino acid that helps to visibly repair and reduce breakage

Hair feels so smooth after use
I was looking forward to test Kérastase products for a long time as I had a great experience with other Kérastase products before. This shampoo is just superb for my damaged hair and it felt so smooth straight after use. The smell is nice too. You also do not have to use a large amount as small amount goes a long way and provides enough for a thorough clean and lather. Just brilliant!

Made a difference!
I washed my hair with the treatment, shampoo and conditioner and also on a separate occasion I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner only. Adding the pre-shampoo treatment 100% made a difference to how soft and healthier it felt.

First time using pre shampoo
This is first time I have used pre shampoo so didnt have nothing to compare it too. I used the whole package and it made a complete difference to my hair. I have my hair bleached and use styling tools most days so my hair is not in the best condition, but I have noticed an overall difference. My hair looks healthier, I have less breakage and its smells do good. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing! Miracle for hair!
This is the best combination of products I have used in a very long time. It has transformed my hair. My hair can be hard to managed as it is bleached and over processed. This pretreatment (used with the and conditioner) has made my hair smoother, more subtle and softer. Much easy to style and the condition is noticeably different.

Going to be a staple
This is the best treatment I have ever used! No kidding even before washing my hair feel silky and I have never felt my hair silky as it is dry most of the time. Really hoping they would bring it into the market as I have looked everywhere for this to stock up but could not find it!!

Absolutely game changer
This amazing pre shampoo treatment become one of my favourite. You use this on the wet hair and leave for 5 minutes. It have amazing citrus smell and colour free texture.the product is efficient as you need small amout massage to you hair . I have medium long hair and bottle least ages. This product double The effect for my dry colour damage curly hair . My hair become shiny and beautiful healthy. Texture of my hair change completely from hard to touch to absolutely soft and pleasant. In addicted to touches then now . My blond hair become from looking dull and my least favourite part of me to my most favourite think.

Absolutely loved it! My hair is pretty damaged from bleach and dyeing it and even after the first use I could tell there was a difference. My hair has been a lot smoother and softer to touch so I’d definitely recommend!
