Kérastase’s first pre-shampoo hair treatment, suitable for all hair types, removes excess calcium and helps visibly repair all types of damaged hair. This includes damage by heat tools, colour treatment, bleaching, over-processing and other types of hair damage.
Calcium in water can further damage already delicate over-processed or bleached hair. Being more porous, damaged hair can absorb up to 3 times more calcium than natural hair. This hair treatment is formulated with a concentration of 8% pure citric acid and glycine and has a dual action: it decalcifies hair from this calcium overdose and works to repair its appearance, helping to visibly restore hair strength and reverse its stiff, dull appearance. Once excess calcium is removed, this product which is formulated with the amino acid glycine, works to deeply repair the feel of strands. Hair is left stronger, healthier-looking, and shinier – as if renewed.
- When to Use: Before shampooing.
- Application: Apply generously onto wet lengths. Massage throughout. Leave on for 5 minutes. Don’t rinse.
- Routine: Layer with the Kérastase Première Decalcifying Repairing Shampoo, then rinse out both. Finish with the Première Decalcifying Repairing Conditioner as the final step.
- Citric Acid: An organic acid that neutralises dullness and stiffness by removing calcium overdose
- Glycine: An amino acid that helps to visibly repair and reduce breakage

KÉRASTASE PREMIERE PRE SHAMPOO
I have very long dry hair that is prone to split easily. I found the pre shampoo followed by the shampoo and conditioner overall very good! It has left my hair silky soft and shiny, it feels hydrated and not as fly away as normal. It has a nice smell however I find its not as strong smelling as others previously used nor does the fresh smell last as long. But I'm really amazed at how lovely my hair feels and looks even after the first use. I am looking forward to continue using this product to see the full benefits it has to offer on long term use.

Not great
Wouldn’t use it again. The bottle cap is a screw cap which makes it difficult to close when you have product in your hand. It also made my hair greasy very quickly.

Not bad
Good pre-shampoo product. It has a mild effect, despite the presence of acids in the composition, and does not affect the skin of the hands when applied to the hair, which is important for me. As for the effect of the product on the hair I didn’t notice any special effect, except for the shine of the hair, but the shine could also be due to the conditioner. There is definitely no bad effect on hair, so I think this product is worth to try for hair routine.

Amazing
I've used pre shampoo treatments in the past and found they don't really do much. I'm not sure if it was just the ore treatment or the whole range but my tangled unruly curls were transformed after using this product. Smooth soft and even shiny and the fragrance of this product and range really lingered and felt luxe. Absolutely worth using and I will defo repurchase

Leaves hair feeling soft and smooth
Nice little detox for hair, left my hair feeling really soft and easy to manage. I also loved how it performed with the other products also. It didn’t have too much of a chemically smell which was nice and a little bit goes a long way! I have bleached hair and it made my hair feel so nourished! Will definitely purchase again!

Great pre shampoo treatment!
I've used the kerastase premier pre shampoo now 6 times for 5 to 10 minutes before shampooing. It said on the box, you'll start seeing results after the 6th time of using the product. However, I've noticed a difference after the first time I've used it alongside other products from the range. My hair just felt so much lighter and was very shiny which is unusual for my bleach and heat damaged hair. It suddenly didn't hold too much water and didn't take me ages to dry it. So i felt like the product did exactly what it claims to do which is decalcifying the hair strands from all the build up that prevents the hair from being nourished. I've always used Kerastase but this range is definitely one of the best ranges if not the best. I would highly highly recommend!
