I have never used an oil, as I have quite greasy hair already. But this oil is game changing. I use the oil on a night for protection during sleep. I use the oil before I was for additional conditioning. I use it after washing and before drying as it has heat protection. Plus after styling to give that shine back. ALSO it smells incredible. This is a good product for keeping your hair moisturized. I have never used anything like this in the past, so can't make any comparisons to other products - but I have noticed that my hair is much more hydrated and shiny since I started using it. I have been using it as an overnight mask then washing it out in the morning a few times a week. The smell is delightful
