Post-surgery scar

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Purchased for use on a recently healed but overly traumatised scar following minor surgery. It’s too soon to give an update on the actual affects of the product, but I’ve been using it twice daily on my new scar and it’s really helping to sooth and comfort it. The gel cream goes on very smoothly and becomes almost oil-like as you massage it in. My scar feels comfortably, hydrated and less aggravated as a result of using this.

Cicaplast gel B5 is so compatible with my skin. It brings out the glow and makes my skin feel/look smooth. It is an amazing product. I highly recommend.

Good

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have mild rosacea skin and was looking for something that would not irritate it and after hearing good things about this on a rosacea blog I thought I’d give it a go. It’s a lovely silky texture and a little goes a long way, however after a few uses it does sting slightly, and leaves your skin feeling quite greasy. Not ideal for daytime however fine for night time. I am going to try la Roche posay toleraine ultra night cream and just use this a few times a week for a deeper moisturiser as every day might be a bit too much. I will say that the cream makes my skin look lovely when I wake up in the mornings though as the shine has gone by then. Overall it is a nice cream and I probably will purchase again.

Fabulous stuff

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought some La Roche Posay cicaplast balm on a whim to be honest after suffering for months with bad scabs on my skin (around my mouth just to make matters worse). They just would not heal and I tried everything. I used at home acid peels in the past and looking back I think I went overboard & have really irritated my skin. This stuff is just lovely. After using this and the bam for like a week my skin is 99.9% healed and thank god I tried it. I am so impressed I am buying more of this brand. Not too expensive either. But for a product that actually does what it says? I’ll gladly pay it.

Super Light, calming moisturiser

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought this after buying the original cicaplast baume, which I had bought, as recommended by Caroline Hirons, to help calm my skin after I had irritated it and upset my skin barrier with too many harsh products at once. The cicaplast baume is good but is thick and I feel that it leaves a white cast initially so not great for during the day, under make up. When Caroline Hirons recommended the gel version I got it also and LOVE it. I use it as a day moisturiser. It’s so light and absorbs really quickly, which is handy when layering products in the morning. I have bought a few tubes and some for my friends also. Will always repurchase! The cicaplast lip balm is also lovely!

This has became one of my favourite, it changed my skin when it when through a rough time. My skin was really irritated and anything I would put on would cause more irritation to me skin. This calmed my skin. Love it and I can’t live without it.

Breakouts

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

After reading the reviews on this product, I was so excited to try it out as I have dry skin and struggle to find a moisturiser that doesn't break me out. I really wanted to love this, as it does leave my skin feeling soft, however, I was breaking out like no other from this. I tested it out twice to see if it wasn't caused by anything else, and it wasn't. Definitely recommend for dry skin but if you are prone to products breaking you out I wouldn't recommend it.

Good

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is a good product. The packaging is immediately more attractive than other La Roche-Posay products. It is better, in my opinion, than the Cicaplast balm which is heavy and leaves a white cast and can pill. The texture is different than expected - in a good war - it is definitely a gel moisturiser and not a water gel or the likes (I have been using this as a facial moisturiser). It is really occlusive enough to be used without another moisturiser from my experience - though I have not done this. Unlike other products it really creates a barrier on the skin and locks in moisturisation all day and/or night without being too heavy and without causing any congestion. It does leave a bit of a shine but that doesn't bother me personally - it isn't like the white streaks left by the balm. The only place that the balm wins is in its immediate soothing affect but this product is overall preferable and I would not go back to the other one again. I can say little about its effects, but it is very functional as a moisturiser and I would imagine that it would be very good for dry skin. For oily skin, the added shine might be too much and it may be too heavy.

Excellent!

Love it! I have a sensitive and dry skin but this product works well on my face. It doesn't break me out and my face isn't dry anymore. I have tried a lot on my face and most of them just give me spots after use. And it heals scabs. It's amazing. Best moisturizer I have ever own so far. Will definitely purchase another one.

Wow!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This stuff is amazing! Using roaccutane and on holiday, my skin was taking a true hammering. This stuff just felt amazing to wear on my mush at both at the end of the day and under the sun cream. Healed long term scabs and prevented drying in the sun! (I sound delightful) A little goes a long way too. Also, applied to an iron burn on my arm, it healed so quickly and left minimal scarring La Roche-Posay is my entire skin care now. Estee lauder lotions and potions are all gathering dust at the back of my dressing table since discovering this amazing little brand! LOVE!!
