Bring back the old formula
The new formula is horrible. Honestly I used the old formula for years, it was the best!! I am so gutted, no idea what to use now, as nothing compared. This new version is absolutely horrible. Don’t waste your money on it. Please bring back the old one!

Bring back the original
Not one to write reviews but please La Roche Posay bring back the original version. I used it for about 1 and a half years and it completely cleared up my acne! Then with the new formula it all came back almost straight away. Would not recommend, please bring back the old formula!

Awful
Used the previous/original version of this and loved it (starting in 2019), my skin loved it. Felt soft and very hydrated, I was confused because it really was like a cream and didn’t think it would do anything for my face as a cleanser. Fast Forward to 2022… some ridiculous person at the company thought it would be a good idea to change and “fix” a product that wasn’t broken. Whatever they are putting in this version there is way too much lather, and no matter how much I rinse my face of it still feels tacky and like there is some residue of the product on my face. Leaving a tight feeling. I’ve even got a few bumps on my cheeks now since using. Not happy. This new version is horrible just awful.

Awful
My husband and I used it after the previous version was discounted. It dries the skin so much that it damages it. Do not use under any circumstances. We are both now consulting with dermatologists as a result. Reaaly miss the old cleansing cream.

Bring back the original version
This new version is nothing like the old formula. Please bring back the Original product ! It was amazing and so many people don’t like this new version. My skin was amazing when using the effaclar h cleanser, then i trialed this and it irritated my skin, and feels nothing like the original formula. Please bring back the original version as requested by so many !

Great for combination skin
This is hands down the best cleanser I have ever used. I have combination skin so it’s great for properly cleansing oily areas without drying out your face. I’ve found that I barely get any blemishes or spots since using it and have no sensitivity using it around my eyes.

I could cry
I absolutely adored this product and have used it for years. It always cleansed my face without any sensitivity and left the perfect amount of hydration. This new formula is NOTHING like the old one which is devastating. Why ‘fix’ something that is not broken. Bring back the old formula !!!!

Bring back the original !!
My skin finally was clear and healthy after using the original effaclar h cleansing cream, bought this new formula at expense and it’s no match for the original, I’m so disappointed. La Roche-posay had a brilliant product before that was well loved by many and this new stuff is so drying, my skin feels tight, itchy and angry after using it. Very very annoying they’ve changed a product that did not need fixing !!

Disappointed
This is a new formula. It’s not what I’d call a cream cleanser; this one has sodium laurel sulfate in it, so it foams. It does not leave my skin feeling nourished and hydrated. I’ve been using this for 2 months and have had the worst breakouts in years. La Roche Posay… I’m so disappointed, bring back the old formula please!

Incredibly drying!
I have used the original cleansing cream for about 4 years now and I absolutely adore it. I was saddened to hear that it had been reformulated. I was intrigued and gave it a trial run. I have combination skin and upon first use my skin felt squeaky clean and not in a good way. My skin just felt zapped of all it's moisture and then my skin started to break out. I knew my skin barrier wasn't happy at all. I used this product in conjunction with the effaclar duo+ moisturiser that I absolutely adore. I felt the two together were just too much for my skin so I use the moisturiser with the hydrating gentle cleanser. I really hope the original formula makes a comeback, it was my utmost favourite cleanser of all time.
