Give skin a deep cleanse with the Micro-Peeling Purifying Gel Wash from French skincare brand La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar range, targeted at oily, blemish and acne-prone skin. The foaming body and facial wash is specially formulated for persistent and stubborn imperfections.
Enriched with a blend of powerful actives including Salicylic Acid (2%), LHA (0.05%), Zinc (0.2%) and La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring water, the cleanser works to decongest clogged pores of bacteria and impurities that can lead to excess sebum production and breakouts. Performing a micro-exfoliation to gently, yet effectively, purge skin of daily pollutants and acne-inducing bacteria, the purifying wash refreshes skin from top to toe with its gentle, alcohol-free formula. Dermatologically-tested and safe for use on even the most sensitive skin types, the hypoallergenic gel wash imparts a cooling sensation with menthol for an invigorating cleanse.

I use this on my chin where I am prone to break out due to hormones. I have used it on my whole face on occasion and it is a good overall cleanser but I prefer to just use it where needed.

I bought this product as I was really suffering with oily skin and breakouts. After a couple of uses my spots were completely gone! My skin does feel slightly dry now I’m not sure wether that’s got anything to do with this product but my spots are gone! Wahoo!

Average- not worth it for long term
When I first used the product it felt good. I had been using majority of the range (cleanser, moisturiser, effaclar duo,spf) and was using the other cleanser before this. What I found was, that this newer la Roche cleanser was more effective than the other cleanser they have. However the cleanser, after months of using it consistently, it has become ineffective. It is not working for me anymore or targeting my concerns. I have jawline acne, blackheads etc. Small spots in my forehead. In my opinion, it is worth looking into a different products that is less expensive. As I bought this product thinking it would be really good as it has been dermatology approved. You are better off spending less on a more effective cleanser that works for long term. I’m now on a journey to find a new cleanser. Possibly cerave.

This product was recommended to me by a friend and after reading the amazing reviews I decided to order the bigger bottle. I would have quite visible pores from having acne when I was younger and my skin has been horrendous lately with wearing a mask so much. After using this face wash once I noticed that the spots around my chin and jaw line had greatly improved over night! I have used to many face washes over the years and nothing has worked but this one is fab and worth every penny. I have been using it once a day after I take my make up off. My skin improves more as the days go on. My fiance even noticed how good my skin was getting (and he usually doesnt notice things like that!) It is a nice gel wash so it doesn't mess up the bathroom. I would 100% recommend this product and I will continue to buy this!

I've got sensitive and reactive skin that is of great quality as long as I am careful and stay quite simplistic in my skincare choices and I am a big fan of la Roche-Posay in general, but this might have been the product to leave out for me. I wanted to add a bit of peeling to my routine, as I've passed 42 and want to care a bit more for my skin, - but I simply think this was too 'harsh' for me. My skin felt completely stripped of moisture and was very tight and also 'papery' to the touch after (I tried it around four times to give it a real shot). It smells really fresh, but might simply be better for more tolerant skintypes.
