Too sticky
See these all over and have wanted to try for a while. Since not wearing lipstick much due to mask wearing I got two to try out. This particular one, although the subtle colour is really nice and I like the spf, it smells and tastes like playdough and is really sticky. My hair gets stuck to it and unfortunately it's just not my favourite lip balm.

Love this
This feels more like a gloss than a balm, so I use a moisturising cream underneath it in the mornings. However it’s great for daily lip spf - I keep it in my bag to top up throughout the day. The colour is nice and subtle and suitable for daytime wear without being too sheer or too garish.

Ok, bit thick and sticky
It’s quite ok. The colour is lovely and a little goes a long way. I do find it rather thick so a little blob may be quite hard to spread across your lips

Ok, not great
Nice color on the lips, glossy finish. Good ingredients as claimed by them. Unfortunately, having SPF it has a strong, bitter taste, it's almost impossible to ignore it as soon as the product stays on your lips for 5 minutes. I'm giving 3 starts because of the bitter taste, which makes me hate using it, and also because it's not very moisturizing. Even though I apply it, my lips get dry patches.

Why use chemical SPF?
I am often allergic to lip products and always wondered what it is exactly that causes the allergy. Well, this product helped me find out! After some research I realised that Benzophenone-3 is a common ingredient that causes allergies in lip products, and many of the products I have used contain it - I always tried to 'protect' myself by using SPF products. I went for Lanolips because of how 'natural' they are, and I am really disappointed that they didn't use a mineral SPF like other brands promoting themselves as safe. Other than that I love everything about it- color, consistency, shine. Unfortunately I'll have to gift it to someone as it took me a week to recover from the rash on my lips. At least I now know what ingredient to avoid...

Ultra moisturising
This is the best lip balm I have tried over the years. It moisturises beautifully and the colour is a lovely natural looking pink with a nice shine. You only need a tiny amount so the tube lasts a long time. I love it so much I now use it instead of lipstick and I get lots of compliments when I am wearing it.

Love it
Great lip balm that keeps my lips hydrated for a few hours. I was looking for something with an SPF more than 20 and of a comfortable texture, and this one is really good. The texture is quiet thick, it doesn't go easily from the tube, but the colour distributes smoothly and evenly. The Rhubarb shade is not as bright as you may think from the picture, it turns into a nice pink that gives me "my lips but better" effect. Ideal for someone who looks for a moisturising lip gloss with a sun protection.

Dry lips - lanolips has the answer
After trying the strawberry multi-balm as an alternative to Elizabeth Arden's eight hour cream (looking for an alternative to the smell) I instantly became a fan of the brand. I normally buy By Terry lip balm and it is quite pricey, so mix up with Elizabeth Arden in between. I now think I might have found an alternative to both in Lanolips. The strawberry is amazing and I rarely have to apply, so looking for something of a similar consistency but with some colour I bought the rhubard and apple shades. Both are really good and quite natural. They're not a gloss, so not sticky which is perfect. They're definitely more of a balm and my favourite coloured balm when compared to By Terry and others. I don't love the fragrance however, but I do like the colour.
