Customise your style with the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Body Builder, a volumising hairspray with an adjustable nozzle to control the amount of body you want.
Allowing you to tailor your style, the customisable finishing spray creates instant, buildable body with movement and light, touchable hold. The adjustable nozzle can be modified to alter particle size and spray rate. Turn the nozzle toward more '(M)' for a particle size that’s 46% bigger with a 25% higher spray rate (designed to lend hair mega body), or turn the nozzle to less ‘(L)’ for a lower spray rate and particle size for less body.
The body-building formula blends the perfect ratio of flexible polymers and firm polymers to create body with softness on both settings, and a dose of anti-static agents help with static, brushability and conditioning. Also contains a shine emollient blend to enhance natural shine and fuse the polymers together for a soft and flexible finish. Provides heat protection up to 450°F/230°C.
Turn nozzle for more (M) or less (L) body. Hold can 6-10" away from styled, dry hair. Section hair and spray. Finish with a final spray for extra body and hold. DO NOT turn nozzle past the (M) and (L) markings on silver ring.

I have only used this once and I was expecting the normal stiff brittle hair with an intensely itchy scalp which I normally get with dry shampoos, sea salt sprays or other 'volumizing' sprays, so I was spraying it on and wincing at the same time :) I have long frizzy annoying hair and it was a bit greasy and flat on the roots, so I used this. I was pleasantly surprised. It does feel like you have a 'product' in your hair but it does not dry out your hair or make you want to rip your own scalp off. It worked really well and also did not dull my hair too much. It brushed out without me screaming the house down either. A quality product.

I have tried so many products to add body to my fine hair, which is great having first styled it but after an hour or so just goes flat. I was looking for a hairspray as well and am very pleased with the results this product achieves. It certainly adds body when applied to the roots and is good for general hold when sprayed as a hairspray. I also like the texture it adds. I’ve used it on the middle setting. I purchased the travel size initially as I’ve wasted so much money in the past on products that have been disappointing to say the least but I shall definitely be buying the full size version.

If you’re thinking of whether to buy this or not.. BUT IT. I never use hair styling products due to having thick hair so nothing generally works for me. I stumbled upon this and thought I’d take the risk. Reasonably priced however the travel size one is fairly small for the price. Within seconds of using this your hair has so much volume! I brushed it out thinking it would just disappear but it still does the job, especially if you keep scrunching your hair! I’d recommend the larger size for daily use. The nozzle is an amazing feature! However it does leave your hair feeling like it has hair spray in (but not noticeable) which wouldn’t be great for touch ups through the day, and leaves it slightly knotty. Not great to use directly on the roots. Only major downside is the smell, this is very potent which means I have to spray it then move away. It does leave your hair smelling all day but it isn’t a bad smell.
