Encourage a clarified complexion with Neutrogena’s Clear and Defend Plus Daily Serum. Summoning a radiant glow, the non-comedogenic formula seeks to minimise the look of discolouration caused by blemishes.
The serum is enriched with salicylic acid, working to de-congest pores and absorb excess sebum. Gluconolactone lends refining benefits, helping to smooth the skin, while glycolic acid promotes a more even-toned finish. Complete with Mandelic acid for an added brightening effect, the serum helps to leave the skin feeling revitalised.
- Application: New users should apply product to small areas during the first 3 days. If no discomfort occurs, apply a thin layer once a day on clean face, then increase to twice a day if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains AHAs that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Great serum!
This product works really well in clearing skin and reducing the redness and size of active spots, whilst preventing further breakouts. It can be a little harsh so do test it first but it is a great exfoliating serum. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Very Impressed
I didn’t really have high expectations for this product however after a few tries I noticed that any acne I had, was completely gone and that my skin looked flawless. At the time of writing this review I do not have any spots, so I will keep using this product. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Better for acne prone skin
Haven’t seen much results from this product. Maybe if you had more acne and scars it would work better. Product has a horrible smell to it and does sting putting it on so probably not the best for sensitive skin. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Not great unfortunately
I’m usually quite a fan of neutrogena products. I think the value of the product for the size is good, and the texture is nice as it didn’t pill or sit weird under my makeup or other skincare. However, the smell is awful, it’s like straight sulphur. It’s that bad it put me off of using it many times and it just seems really harsh on the skin. I’d be more inclined to use it on body acne, but this did not suit my face for its intended use. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Pretty good
I liked the product more as a spot treatment rather than a face serum, only because I do use retinol at night so I couldn't overload my face with lots of exfoliating products. It took less than 2 minutes to dry down and didn't leave behind sticky residue - my pimple would usually reduce in size by the end of the day. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Worked well

Works but smells gross
I use BHA (salicylic acid) products within my morning/night routine so was hopeful this would be a great alternative. The smell is really off-putting! It does absorb quickly and is effective at clearing the skin nicely and I haven't had a breakout whilst using it. Effective but Unpleasant Smell
The Neutrogena serum faded the dark marks on my face that were left from previous spots after just a few days' use, once a day. The serum is lightweight, moisturising and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feeling or residue. I also like that the product doesn't have any fragrance or perfume ingredients. The only thing I didn't like about the product was the strong, lingering, unpleasant smell. I'm not sure what caused it because the product is fragrance free and I wouldn't expect any of the ingredients to have much smell. It was gentle on my skin and I didn't expect it to be so gentle considering all the chemical exfoliants in it. It would have been helpful if the packaging said what percentage of salicylic acid the product contains. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Neutrogena Daily Serum - Unsure
I use AHA and BHA (salicylic acid) products within my morning/night routine so was hopeful this would be a great alternative. The smell is off-putting and leaves my face with a sticky feeling.
