The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
Aqua, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sorbitol, Glycolic Acid, Gluconolactone, Sodium Hydroxide, Salicylic Acid*, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Acrylates Copolymer, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate.

- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Good cleanser
Dried out my spots but left my face feeling really dry and flaky. I washed twice a day but decided to use it once a day to see if that made a change. The gel wash went well on my face and didn't leave a greasy feeling #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Cleaning but a bit irritating

Cleared skin but felt dry
With adult acne I have tried quite a few products that can cleanse my skin but not cause more redness. This product worked really well by drying out the spots however my face did feel dry after using the wash twice a day so only used it in the evening before adding moisturiser.

Awful
I don’t have sensitive skin but this made my skin so dehydrated and ruined my skin barrier. I’m used to using strong acids and treatments and never have issues. Had to stop using and took over a week for me to repair my skin barrier #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Really Good Cleanser

Doesn’t work for me
I liked the fact it didn’t have a strong smell like others from this brand has which can be quite overwhelming early in the morning. It foamed up but didn’t foam up. It was a weird consistency. I did have to stop using though as it says it helps prevent spots. I ended up with a breakout. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Great
